Sorry to be the Goozex noob, but I just completed my first trade(I'm the seller), and I just had some questions if people are willing to help answer.

So which one is it really, do I get my points once I confirm ship, or when I am left positive feedback? I am getting conflicting answers throughout the site in their FAQ and can't quite figure it out. Is it because I am new, so I will have to wait for both? Or is it just very unclear.

What is this policy for buyers that if the game is damaged in the mail or lost in the mail that the points will be refunded. Does that mean the seller also suffers the points they were given and they are just out of luck on the lost or broken mail? Or do Goozex just credit the points to the buyer and the seller gets to keep the points that they were paid for the game originally.

Unfortunately I tried to get some clarity from the site, and looked around a bit, but the answers seem to all correlate about the same, so just trying to confirm some things with some experienced Goozex members.

Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone. :bouncy:

I haven't traded on goozex recently, but it used to be;
0-4ish positive feedback trades == get the points when positive feedback was left
4+ positive feedback trades == get the points as soon as you matched

There was no "Confirming Shipment" option back then. I would imagine they changed it to;
0-4ish positive feedback trades == get the points when positive feedback was left
4+ positive feedback trades == get the points as soon as you confirmed shipment

That's probably why there's "conflicting" info in the FAQ.

As for the other thing... I don't know.

Also, it's worth mentioning, the system automatically leaves positive feedback after a set amount of time (I think it used to be over a month, but I think it's less time now), so you won't have points in limbo when someone is "too busy" to leave feedback.

you get the points on positive feedback. Once you have reached a certain feedback score with little to no negatives, you will get points upon "confirm shipment".

If you get a damaged item, you report negative feedback saying so. Then if seller disputes, he can escalate to goozex where they will review it. It usually means the buyer sends the damaged game to goozex where they will personally check the game.

If the item gets damaged in the mail, I dunno. You probably will have to contact goozex about that. If it is lost in the mail, make sure you have DC or some sort of proof. The dollar per trade is where you pay to have goozex's "guarantee". They list it on their site what that guarantee is.

I think they give back points to the winning party whoever that may be.

Sorry I can't be much help since I never had a problem so far using goozex. I guess I'm just lucky! *knocks on wood*

After five positive trades I think it changes to "points on confirm". You have to have at least one extra rep rating or whatever it is called (the eggs on your profile) to earn that ability and I think the first rep rating step is at 5 positive trades.

So I guess it rare for buyers to file claims like that and win? Cause I'm sending a Wii game over to the person, and Wii cases are kind of flimsy, so not sure how well its going to hold up in a padded envelope.
