Can anyone tell me about the site www.Goozex.com? I wanted to know if it is legit, or if anyone here uses it. I read about it somewhere on here and just wanted to know what it was all about.

Just kinda seems to good to be true, any insight?

Thanks,
Seth

It's legit and a great site. I get almost all my games off of since I built up 8000 some points early last year and have kept that balance pretty steady by trading games back after beating them.

Only downsides are:

1. It takes a while to get new games. 3-4 months usually, sometimes longer. Not a big deal for me since I don't care about having games day one, but a downside for others.

2. It's used games, so there are no guarantees on condition of case etc. I've gotten several games and had no problems--worst was a game with the case covered with the Gamestop price stickers etc. So the service is great if you just want games to play, but it's not for collectors.

Aside from those (which don't bother me personally) I've seen no drawbacks. It's easy to use as all the match making etc. is automated and doesn't require any communication with other users, haggling over price and trades etc.

and it would be great so people can ask questions.. like..

What time does Goozex update their New Releases section? Its not midnight est.maybe 3am est?

yeah we should have a straight... THIS. IS. GOOZEX. thread, sticky it and we can stop these.... Is this a legit place? ... questions.

Anyways, just to grip some...

User requests a trade, ... i'm waiting for like 26 hours for them to accept. Then they have the option of saying, shipping 1-3 days later. Which they don't get penalized if they don't ship it, but mark that it shipped. Then you have to wait like almost 3 weeks, 20 days to be exact till negative can be entered, then wait another 5 days? and you can switch it up in case the user did finally send it.

over all...

26 hours
3 days
20 days
5 days

29 days and 1 hour before the slowest trade in the world!!!!!!

Now goozex tends to match you in areas, which is good, but sometimes you have to send or get a game from half the nation away.

I have a user just now stated he's shipping it tomorrow, the 11th... and he stated he shipped it on the 7th... .... ARG... I got paired up with him on the 3rd I think...

so now he's got 13 days before I can write in a Neg.... I have before and the other user did ship and I switched it to positive because we PM'd it out... He got married or something, and the game was sealed but I had to wait about a month.

This is just a bit of the issue of slow games... because of the feedback, you're limited on open trades to get, so you could be stuck on just 1 for a while unless you trade some in.

I'm actually hunting down high request games that I can just pick up a bit cheap to trade in to get more feedback and open up game slots, I have a good size of points I don't want to sit on for months waiting for stuff to get in.

I report feedback immediately, to make sure the games keep coming in.

The only thing that has me unsure of Goozex is that I heard from someone a game in a Blockbuster case counts as complete. That annoys me since I want all my games in matching cases, and receiving a game that was originally in a Blockbuster case would make me angry.

That is annoying.

I cannot see where someone would say that is complete.

there isn't a manual?

That would be annoying and I would contest it with a neutral.

As I said above, it is not for collectors, so stay away.

It's for people that just want to get a game that works, play through it, and send it back out.

If you care at all about condition of cases, manuals etc., Goozex is not for you.

I will add to that, that of the 7 or 8 games I've gotten all had cases and manuals in great condition except for Fight Night Round 3. That one had a crappy case covered in gamestop used game stickers etc.

So i didn't want to give the impression that most cases etc. come in crappy condition. I was just saying it's not for someone like TMK who is a collector and wants to be sure every case etc. is in very good condition, as there's no guarantee on what shape things will be in.

Most are in great shape, but it's not worth the risk if you're the type that is super pissed off about getting a case with stickers, or a wrinkly manual, or a blockbuster case etc.
