I also preordered the CE Edition from Bestbuy.com shipped to home. So according to the CSR we should be getting the code either tomorrow (release date Nov. 24) or the day after.
 
I prerordered the CE edition from Barnes & Noble (bn.com) on November 11th, the item page description says it will be available on November 24th but on my order status it says shipping is scheduled for January 1st 2011.

Did anyone who preordered from BN run into this problem ? please help


Also, I just received the bonus cars code from GameStop since the BN order is processed by them.

I believe you can still preorder at Bestbuy.com since my friend just preordered his copy this morning. FYI, if you preorder at Bestbuy.com, input your Reward Zone number cuz you can get 800 bonus points which is good for a $10 certificate at Bestbuy.

@PublikDefender: my order status also says "processing" so I guess they are getting the game ready for shipment. HOPEFULLY they can ship the game today so we can receive it tomorrow or on Friday/Saturday.
 
I could have pre-ordered the Collectors Edition this morning at Best Buy, as they still had boxes, and the employee was trying to get me to upgrade to that instead of the standard one.

The Seller shipped mine yesterday. Did you have to use a PSN account other than the US to download them?

I have a 10% off coupon for eBay that is soon to expire so I think I'm going to use it on this. Sent the seller a message asking if he will send me the code via a message, I have a feeling he wont do that though.

Also I'm curious if this is able to be redeemed on the US PSN.

I think its missing Knight Rider stealth car as well-
It does have the R8 and the Mazda stealths that US doesnt though.
 
^I've redeemed codes for other territories no prob. I think I did have to sign into an account made for that region though.

Also, Best Buy is allowing purchases on their website now for the CE for in-store pickup.

No, but from my experience if you redeem a code from a given region such as EU, you will need the EU version of the game for the DLC to work. The US game will not recognize EU DLC.

I experienced this with Uncharted 2 and Tekken 6

I was just looking at my standard edition pre-order confirmation email and it does not show that, it shows the information for the $10 game credit that's all. No mention of the AMG car in the shipment confirmation email either. I guess I'll have to start emailing them....

i just made a post there

The group will be long-term, meaning that we will game share all the GT5 DLC from here to infinity.
You will have to pay 5 dollars (1/5 of that 24~ price on eBay) bucks to cover costs and we need a host for new DLC :bomb:

Those aren't the DLC cars...those are stickers.

Can the person who already redeemed the 6 DLC answer my question regarding whether or not you downloaded them under your US account.
 
I redeemed through EU PSN account, I cannot confirm if this DLC will work with the US version if the game quite yet. I will give an update when I get the game in a few hours. I can confirm the DLC makes a file in your game data folder with no mention of region anywhere in the writing, hopefully this doesn't turn into a disaster!

Edit: some DLC is region free while some others is not, I'm hoping with GT5 everything is compatible.

Does this mean that there's no $25 gaming coupon on GT5? I'm looking for anyone who's gone to Kmart and gotten the deal. I'm leaving for Kmart once mine opens at 8am, but it's about a 30 minute drive that I won't make if there's no gaming coupon.

You need to be a Shop Your Way rewards member to get the $25 "coupon". Once you set up an account here:

Two Kmart stores near me claim they do not have the game. I have had good luck with both locations in the past, first time I struck out with them.
 
I'm going to pick the game up from K-mart while I'm working, I'm going to be passing K-mart while I'm out driving during the day.
 
My Kmart had about 50 copies this morning when they opened.

Purchased it and got the $25 gaming coupon.

It cannot be used until Novermer 28th.

I was planning on going back tomorrow morning to pick Need for Speed for $35.00 and use the gaming coupon, but the cashier told me it would not work.
 
Code doesn't work with US version I can confirm. Re downloaded also tried with eu and us account it doesn't matter, cars are nowhere to be seen. That was a great waste of money lol

Yeah....I am having the same thing too.....cars are installed into the PS3, but it just wont show up in the game no matter which account I use.....wasted 19.99....lol

Nice, I wish they wouldn't have some things as gaming coupons, then use SYWR, then go back to coupons, etc.

Makes it very confusing. I'll probably be waiting for these credits forever, like I have been with the CoD: BO SYWR points that they screwed up. It's annoying that no associates here have any idea what's going on with these coupons/points promos. I asked the guy about a gaming coupon and he said "nope". He had no idea what I may have even been referencing.
 
I stopped by the local Kmart (in Beaverton, OR) about an hour after opening and they had a bunch in stock, seems like I was the first person asking for it. I gave them my phone number linked to my shopmyrewards acct and got the $25 gaming coupon. Valid from Nov 28th through Jan 8th and it clearly states that it is valid on sale/clearance items and can be combined with other coupons.
 
My Amazon Standard Edition shipped out this morning, and i just picked up the CE from Best Buy, They had 3 spidered on a cart and 3 more at Customer Service, So i took a spidered one to CS and swapped it for a pristine one which made me happy. Now i need to figure out how to get rid of one of these copies.

At least you have some nice stickers. Havent put in the codes, prob just resell them back on ebay.
 
My Amazon CE shipped out yesterday but no car code yet.

I probably keep the CE sealed since I already have the regular version from SUBWAY. If you got the CE, could you check if and when the CE exclusive cars code expire? Thanks.
