Guitar Hero guitar vs. Rock Band guitar

With the upcoming release of Guitar Hero 5 and Rock Band: Beatles, I was hoping to get some opinions on what to buy...

A. GH5 with guitar and just RB: Beatles game?
B. RB: Beatles with guitar and just GH5 game?

Which series, GH or RB, guitar do you think is better and why?

I have GH2 and GH3 and their guitars, and recently got RB1 and RB2.

I prefer Rock Band, the song selection is better (especially DLC wise) and the note charts seem more fun to play.

I only play the guitar parts though, so I can't speak to drums or vocals. The GH2 and 3 guitars definitely work fine with the Rock Band games. I think the RB guitars will work with GH as well, but I don't have one to test. And that's on the 360 (which you have)--I think it may be different on the PS3.
 
Just personally, I vastly prefer the Guitar Hero series guitars to the Rock Band series guitars. The RB guitars just don't have a good feeling to the strumming. There's this weird springiness to the strum bar that makes it tough to play. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I 'learned' on GH hardware and tried to switch to RB later.
 
Both guitars work with the other game. There are a lot of deals going on right now for the last version of guitar hero or rock band with guitar which might save you a bit of cash.

Personally, Rock Band is the better franchise in my opinion.
