Can someone tell me how the multiplayer works on Gunstar Super Heroes? I bought it for my son for Christmas. I am hoping it is simultaneous, and that we get to see each other on the screen. I want to play it with the Gameboy player, and I am thinking that the second player can be controlled with a GBA and link cable, but that we can both see ourselves on the TV. Is this correct? Thanks.

So if we are linked GBA to GBA, then we will see each other? That's cool. If true, then the GB Player should work the same way. Cool. Thanks.

The GameBoy Player works just like any other GB (except for the GBA videos). So it won't be like playing an old Genesis Gunstar Heroes on the tv. If you can move your screen separate from the other player, the person on the portable will have to watch their screen.

Try it and tell us how it worked.

Well, I'm not sure about that. That's why I was asking if the first player can see both players simultaneously, because that means that I can control the second player with my GBA buttons, but watch myself on the TV (essentially player 1's screen). Anyway, I will know after Christmas or his birthday in January and report back. (I haven't decided which occassion needs additional gifts yet.)

I think you'll still need two copies of the game. From what I remember, most GBA games didn't have full single-cart functionality (well, neither does the DS I suppose).

A review at Gameshark.com said there is no multi-player co-op... :whistle2:(

"This game is just a blast to play – it’s too bad there’s no 2-player or cooperative mode via a link"
