Ordered one and placed a order for Otogi 2. Must stop spending money especally after the buying a PSP and 3 games and then buying about 7 Xbox and PS2 games from this weeks Ebgames $9.99 online sale. Maybe I should ask CheapyD to ban my IP address.

Wow that is a good deal. I just traded 2 games at gamerush to get Doom3. I was thinking the price would not drop real fast. But since Halo 2 dropped after 6 months. Doom3 will probably drop after 3 or 4.

Game companies believe that if you limit a game to 100 million copies, then it's limited.
 
Nice price. Is the game as buggy and glitchy as they say though? Is there an update to download to fix the bugs? I don't have LIVE right now, but with the 2-month free subscription that I get with DOA Ultimate from EB I'll make sure to download whatever fixes they have before time runs out.
I haven't even finished Halo yet, which I've had for almost 2 years now.
 
Wow. The first Halo didn't see a price drop for over a year. This one dropped in five months. What is the world coming to?
 
Why would anyone limit the number of copies of the game. The real costs are development and labor. The costs of printing the games is dirt cheap.

Hopefully Doom 3 CLE will be available in 6 months for cheap. I want to play Doom and Doom2 Co-Op on my Xbox.

What bugs are you talking about? I have no complaints so far with Halo 2.

I thought there were some issues with multiplayer. Or faulty discs or somthing like that. I know a lot of people were replacing their copies the first month of the release.

Dunno about the faulty discs, I never heard about that. Mine worked fine and I bought it when it came out.

As far as the "issues with multiplayer" it's pretty much the same thing as any online game...people discover exploits and abuse them. Bungie did interviews shortly after the game came out saying there's really not much they can do to fix them through patches or whatever, but (and I may be wrong here) I thought I heard that when this map pack is released they will be adressing at least some of the problems.

Honestly, I thought the Limited Edition was worth it at full price (not that I paid that...got it for 35 with that UT2004 preorder $20 bonus thing last year). Very nice case, unique manuals, and the bonus disc is actually entertaining and not a big misleading disappointment like the Mortal Kombat Deception limited editon was. That thing was ten bucks more instead of five, had a slipcover instead of a special case, and the stuff on the bonus disc was either misleading ("arcade perfect" MK 1 my ass) or stuff we could see on sites for free (character profiles) or have seen before (same video that was on MK: DA disc).

I'm not a big fan of this "limited editon" thing for every other game that comes out now (how long before we get Army Men Limited Edition releases?) but sometimes the big games like Halo 2 and Doom 3 warrant it if it's done right.

Some people received discs with scratches on them. Due to the crappy packaging of the LE version. They stacked the discs on top of each other.

if you already have DSL or Cable.. halo 2 is MEANT to be played online.. the single player is just retarded.. this is the game for xbox live. and especially with the new map sets.. you are going to want to play on live.. and come on.. its not *that* much money (like what 5 or 6 bucks a month)

I am STILL waiting for that game to hit under 20.. 30 is too much for a game without live.
 
is halo 2 really not worth it if you don't have LIVE? i don't have a high speed connection, so i couldn't even play if i wanted to...but this seems like a really good deal...
 
Feh. I can't believe that I was so excited about this that I shelled out $55 last fall to buy this. Can't even sell it more more than $30 these days. =( This certainly isn't going to help.

It's a cool game if you like multiplayer on Live though.

Great story. Ending sucks(but you will buy halo3 on release day).

It's ment for live, but the single player story, and offline co-op is really fun.
If you have an xbox, buy it!

If you liked Halo 1 multiplayer, either split-screen or LAN play, then yes, it's worth it.

If you don't have anyone who would want to play via LAN or split-screen, without LIVE, it's a hard sell.

Believe it or not... I am in the same boat.... got my LE on launch day, but shortly after my XB died, only recently got a new one... also being the fan I am of Splinter Cell CT, Halo will be waiting around for a little while... it is still shrink wrapped
 
Does anyone know if this price is also good at the brick n mortar Wal-Marts? The link didn't say "Online Only", but it's going to be about 2.5 hours before I can get my paycheck cashed and get to Wal-Mart.

Walmart B&M deals are notoriously YMMV, so I would say that chances of getting it at B&M might be sketchy at best. And if one CAG finds it at one Walmart, that doesn't say another Walmart in another area would have it either.
 
i've got the "regular" edition of Halo 2...anyone know what i can get for it? is it worth it to sell the regular edition and pick up the "limited" edition?
