The worst thing to have happen to you is you just got running riot and someone fires at the ground and gets a killtacular. the increase in halo 2 modders is ridiculous. if you have anything to say, please post.

No shit. Get over it, in any online game there where be cheaters. This horse has already had its ass kicked, let it die already.

It is the truth. I used to play Counter-Strike heavily. But then the hackers thought that it was funny to headshot people across a whole map before they could move. Apparently, it makes them better. No, it just shows how much you suck.

People love being anonymous, arrogant jerks. It's the driving force behind the entire internet.

the one that really bugs me is the shotgun chansaw detonating thing in gears of war. other than that, it's everywhere so I really don't care all that much about it..

I think my favorite was earlier today i threw a sticky nade on some guy, and it sticks to him...then nothing. I started shooting at him and he didn't die, the nade exploded and all i saw was him coming at me and then death. Followed by me promtly saying "fuck this shit" and turned the 360 off.

All you need to know about online gaming, all in one easy-to-remember soundbyte:

"The worst aspect of any online game is the one that can never be patched."

Oh, and by the way...you're wel-come!

I've only encountered modders online twice in the nearly thousand games I've played. Those two times I laughed a bit at the absurdity/dumbassery, and quit/joined another game. Nothing to get very worked up about.

LOL I was just playing some Halo and I was about to kill some guy with the sword after killing two of his teammates when all of a sudden he stopped moving and I couldn't kill him. Then the game went blue screen and I ended up dead. Hahahaha...

You probably arent a high enough level, people dont mod at low levels. Now, before the patch, and you went into Slayer at say a 35+, you would be Standby/Modded every other game.

That could be a glitch, I've stuck people and other people have stuck me before without any fatal outcome for the stuck person. However, you said you were shooting him, if his shield didn't respond or he didn't appear to take any damage, than yeah he was cheating.
so ummm... why doesnt microsoft ban these idiots or make fixes to prevent this
That would be the logical thing to do.

Too many people to ban and Microsoft likes money too much. Best thing is to give that person some negative rep and move on to another room. Another option is to join CAG rooms. They seem to be more light hearted and I haven't met a CAG that's cheated during a game yet.....

yeah, I never got over around level 30 in any of the playlists, thankfully. I like that it keeps you with people of the same skill.

The modding I saw was the absurd kind with SMGs that shot sniper shots, etc. Just stupid shit like that, I don't mind it so much because you can just quit and join another.

One of my buddies said he was playing on the map with the Ribs.. can't remember the name, but it's large and wide open. The match was nearly over when all of a sudden, an elite character model about twice the height of anything else on the map appeared, towering over everyone. Everyone stopped shooting instantly and looked up, and laughter resounded over the microphones. Wish I could have seen that.

Man. Just be glad you didn't play in the beginning months of the game's release. Holy shit. I never got standbyed so much in my life.

Then after Bungie released a patch to alleviate some of that, the modding scene hit.

I pretty much never encounter modding now, and only rarely get standbyed.
