Halo 3 ODST $43.95 @ buynextgen.com

CAGiversary!
I know Buynextgen has had some issues in the past (I waited ~a month for Saints Row 2 CE to arrive from them) but they seem to be a legitimate operation with great deals. Also, in my opinion the customer service rep was pretty responsive at trying to solve my problem. In any case, for those who haven't jumped on the amazon deal /w ECA discount and all that jazz, you could get your halo fix at buynextgen.

[quote name='choffy21']Pretty good price. Would jump on it if I didn't have a Toys R Us 5 minutes from my house.

I have to because the toys r us right by my house closed few months back.

[quote name='VidgamesgivemeA_D_D']The new Amazon deal is better.

$50.99 -$10gc -10%ECA. Comes out to $45something minus a $10 gift card. Well in the long run it's better after the gift card if you're buying another game from amazon between now and the end of this year.

Wow, I did not know amazon had a discount. I already ordered from BNG, and there is no cancel option on the website.

Anyways, it would be better with the gift card, but this is fine, too.

Please stay away from this place...

There are so many issues with orders that are placed.

They do not ship on time. They lie to you and say your order has shipped when it has not. It will take 2-3 weeks just to get your order and that's AFTER you email customer service numerous times to see why you have not received your product.

Just check the numerous threads in this forum and you'll see what I mean

2 days ago Halo was at $59.99, I looked everywhere especially Amazon..... I bought it from Ebay for $49, I would have easily bought it from Amazon at this price & have a $10.00 gift card.......

Oh well

Agreed. Count this as another vote against BNG.

That sucks. At least you didn't pay $60.

Do NOT order from these yahoos!!! They are, in my experience, about as dishonest as they come. Horrible experience with them!!!!

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

I called them to cancel my order. I was told that my order will be cancel at the end of the day.

Amazon now seems to be more juicy: $51 - %10 ~ $46 + two $10+$5 GCs (using HALOODST), totaling ~$31. Do we still get the MP3 download offer with that? :)

My own experience with BNG:

On 9/9 I ordered The Beatles: Rock Band. On the website they state that ship out time is 2 to 5 business days for free BNG Saver shipping. A week later (and yes, business hours do include weekends in this case), I checked my status and it still said "payment received, processing order". I contacted BNG and received a reply within half an hour stating that my order actually shipped two days prior, and that they had received so many orders that the system was behind in updating the shipping status. Three days later (Saturday 9/19), the game finally arrived.

So I did get my game, but a number of things concerned me:
* I can't think of a single technical reason that an overload of orders causes the system to fail to update the shipping status. This just does not make sense. The two shouldn't have anything to do with each other in a well-designed system.
* I have never seen priority mail take 5 days (Mon 9/14 to Sat 9/19) to arrive, especially when not traveling all the way across the country (Florida to NY in this case). I highly doubt my order actually shipped on 9/14.
* Most curiously, my copy of TB:RB very clearly has sticker residue in the upper right hand corner. Why would an internet operation such as BNG need to put a price sticker on a game? Did they wait until I complained and then ran out to get a copy of the game to keep me happy? This is just bizarre. (Seriously, if anyone can make sense of this, please fill me in because I can't see how they'd make any money doing this.)

I would say this: if you want to save money, don't need the game in a hurry, and don't mind keeping on top of your order status (including contacting them when necessary), then by all means, buy from BNG. If any of these things turns you off, it's probably best to shop elsewhere. That's just my opinion.

I've ordered 3 times from BNG and all 3 times I recieved my game about a week later, like the above poster said if you aren't in a real hurry their prices are hard to beat. I will continue to use them.

WoW. If you read the shipping description you'd know that BNG saver ships by First Class not Priority. Also it is true it takes them 2-5 days to "SHIP OUT", but also takes another 3-5 days to "SHIP" and receive. So thats a max of 10 days. Also it says there is no tracking, so that means you just have to trust them that the game comes within 10 business days.
Although I dont know about the sticker. If the games not shrink wrapped, then you got screwed. But neways its free shipping there's nothing to complain about that.

I find that BNG takes about 2 weeks to get your order while Amazon takes 1 week for me with FSSS. I live in GA and BNG is in FL so it is slow. Other sites like Bestsku and Buy.com only took 3-4 days so they were even better than Amazon but in Bestsku's I did pay $7 for shipping but the game was real cheap. So yes they are slow so if you don't mind waiting for your game a bit than go ahead.

I had the same problem. I contacted Mike and he said the same thing. Funny thing is the game shipped on 8/28 according to him but my package was postmarked 9/3. I don't think my game would have shipped unless I kept emailing him.

I agree with an earlier poster that this company does not seem to have the stock they claim to have. They somehow get the games AFTER the order comes in which leads to LONG ship times. But Mike at BNG does not want to be honest and tell us, the customers, this.

BNG and Mike are a bunch of filthy damn liars. I ordered Metroid Prime: Trilogy August 26th and got it YESTERDAY. That was after numerous emails and calls with this dumb stuttering bastard Mike during one he claimed to have tracked my "shipment" that i didn't receive and then so graciously gave me a second shipment by "one day air" . That one day air shipment took over a week and it was actually shipped priority mail. I have no problems waiting for a delivery, long shipping, or anything else at all but I don't feel like being lied to and having packages claimed to be shipped not shipped at all. That is shady as all hell and I implore everyone here not to support it. After all the Amazon discounts they will come out to what, a few dollars more if that? I'm aware this is Cheap Ass Gamer but it's worth that to dodge a headache, a shady business, and have your game in time to take part in all the new game hype.

I know it says it ships First Class, but mine was actually sent in a Priority envelope. (I had forgotten all about that until you brought this up). Add that to the list of bizarre things about this transaction - although certainly nothing to complain about. Also, my game was factory sealed - the price sticker residue was on the outside of that. Again, not complaining. Just bizarre.

Bottom line - I got what I paid for, exactly as described. It's just that some odd things happened along the way, that's all.

for packages larger than 13oz (most "limited edition" games), first class is not an option, and the most cost effective shipping method is priority (until ~2lbs).
