Calling all Cheap Ass Gamers!
I know I don't post much here, but like you I am a gamer, and a faithful listener to both podcasts here. I've even had Cheapy, and Wombat on my own little podcast.
I need your help.
Breast Cancer Is serious. Kim (Okatta's Wife) knows from having family and friends being diagnosed, and passing from having breast cancer. Last year she walked 60 miles and raised over $2,500 in funds to help find a cure. This is close to her heart and she is walking again this year.
At 60 miles, the Breast Cancer 3-Day is the longest walk of its kind. Every day, we're moving closer to ending breast cancer forever. But we need your support to make this happen.
Everyone has been touched in some way by breast cancer. And recoiled from the touch. No family should lose a mother prematurely. Or a dear friend, sister, wife, daughter, co-worker. No one of us, just diagnosed, should have to look at the mirror in the morning and say: Will I survive? Everyone deserves a lifetime: We feel it deep in our bones.
For this the Gamers Garage together with Gaming4Others is proud to present the Walk For Breast Cancer Tournament. The single elimination 4vs4 will be held on August 2, 2008 on Halo 3 for the Xbox 360. The will be random prize giveaways for registered tournament players. Random prize giveaways will be held on The Gamers Garage website and podcast.
Registration is $5 per person, $20 per team. Individuals who sign up will be randomly placed with a team lacking players. 100% of all donations and entry fees will go directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation for the cure.
