Halo freaking disgusts me!

CAGiversary!
Why won't it allow you to play system link co-op play? I'm not talking about death-match...the actual game. Who actually wants to play split-screen if they don't have to?

I don't want to play Live. I have 2 TV's and 2 XBox's sitting in my living room right now, but come to find out that the deveolpers of Halo were lazy.

Thats weird. Are you sure your cables are connected well? Try using XBconnect and seeing if ur xbox registers then you can tell if everything workds right

I do NOT want to play on Live. I have 2 XBox's connected together via a link cable. I guess what I can't understand is why Serious Sam will allow me to do it, but Halo will not. I thought it was supposed to be the greatest multi-plyer ever....Hopefully this oversight will be fixed for part 2.

Let's see, a launch game and a game released over a year later. And you're surprised the later release has more features?

You have a situation, two Xbox and screens in the same room, that was exceedingly rare for console users at the time of Halo's release. Sony got such poor support for it's similar feature on the original Playstation that they eventually eliminated it from the system to cut costs. That Halo included any link support at all is a bonus. Stop whining.

*sniff sniff* Smells like...troll!
Unfortunately not. I just expect more from my XBox, being that it IS the best system

Isn't that part of the function of a message board...to share whines?

Dosent sound like trolling so much as just annoyance at the fact that something that should almost be a certainty dosent exist as a proper function.

But I'm not surprised, alot of launch games miss out on fucntions that would make them beyond awesome. I'm actually more surprised there hasnt been some kind of aftermarket mod released in all this time to allow it.

If you want the best system then get a PC. Link fuctionality since the dawn of time.
I will when all the games can be played with an Xbox controller. Lol.
I know that they have them link controllers for Xbox to PC but probably not state side, try mexico or something. Ive seen them before, so yes they do exist

haha Acidevil that was the greatest response. Good choice in not using words... People who use similar responses end up saying something really lame to accompany the pic. But yes, Repetske get Halo for PC and me and you can buddy up and kick ass online :)

best system ... as displayed by the IQ of its users. its not a fucking link cable its a CROSSOVER cable. PC networking came first, why pay microsoft's prices for a fucking ethernet cable?

Actually, I was just talking to them. They said they hald co-op ready, but they decided to take it out of the finished product just to annoy you.

The main reason system link was included was that they made these large multi-player maps and xbox live wasn't going to launch for another year. They did for multi-player not co-op.
