Halo: Reach Gamestop.com shipping

So long story short, I've got a 35 dollar gift card from Gamestop after doing the trade in deal for new 360. Couldn't trade in hard drive until after I bought the new 360 hence the gift card.

I was thinking of using that on Halo: Reach (currently ordered at Amazon with release date shipping for 65 with a future 20 dollar credit) in order to get it for 30 dollars with a future game credit at Gamestop. I would spend either 20 dollar credit on LBP2 or AC: Brotherhood.

The money more or less works out in the end after all the games I'm gonna buy this year

Basically, does Gamestop deliver games on release day because my friends and I are already planning to campaign it up. Overall, what are people's expereiences with Gamestop shipping for big time new releases? That will go a long way in determining what's the best deal.
 
Well, if you choose release date shipping then you should get it then. They've never been late for me. I don't know if I'd pay for it, though. You can usually find a free overnight shipping coupon sometime before release.

I wasn't even sure if they had release date shipping. I hadn't gone through the process of putting in address, etc...because I wasn't sure where I was going to order.

I generally dislike Gamestop but 35 dollars off Reach plus a 20 credit on LBP2, etc.....would make me shop there even out of spite
