It has no box or instructions, but it's the halo edition xbox with the Halo Controller. I decided to pass on it.

It's at the Cash Converters across the street from Golf Mill. they also have RE2 for the Cube for $10.

That's about what it's worth. They seem to be getting harder to find these days. I wouldn't say it's a deal; more like an opportunity.

meh

Word up, A-possum.

word \m/ (supposed to be bullhorns)

I guess I should put the location down in the OP in case any other CAGs are in the area.

I would have gotten it.

The last time I looked for one on ebay, it was going for $250 at least. Of course it was sealed...

i just checked-- there's a bunch of them on there and they are all packed with like 10 games and they are barely fetching $200...saw a BIN for $149 and it came with 5 games and an extra controller

its not any different other than color than a normal xbox (and if you got really creative you can just mod the case yourself) but i mean.. come on.. i'd go and offer them 100 but no more.

$139 is still a pretty good price for being able to walk into a store and pick it up. Most eBay auctions charge something along the lines of $25 for shipping for these.

 Good thing I didn't talk my mom into buying me the one I saw then.

yeah. the pawn shop sketchiness is a factor too. who knows where it's been and what has happened to it.

Besides the possible collectible value, the good thing about the Halo Xbox is that it has a Samsung drive, and will work great with your games.

Not all of them have a Samsung drive.

I bought mine new from EB's online shop when they first came out, and it came with a Phillips drive. On the plus side, I haven't had any trouble with it yet (fingers crossed and knocking on wood). :D
How can you tell the type of drive in there? Is there a way to do it without taking it apart? Forgive me for my ignorance.
if it has 2 small holes, it's a samsung.

i've purchased 3 systems from pawn shops (a slim PS2, a SNES, and a 64) all are working fine (and i've had them for over 4 months.. the 64 for almost a year now).. but again if it doesn't work you can always return it that day for a refund (the ones near me do that, actually for a week or more i think, i've never had any issues with games or systems from mine) so i'd ask that question first, also if they are not privy to the Halo system and its worth, i'd ask "how low can you go on this" and if they tell you something say something like "I have a hundred thats all i have on me will you take it?" or tell them you'll buy a couple games if you lower the price on the system (did that with the PS2.. paid 120 got 3 games, memory card, PS2).. but it doesn't always work (tried to downplay N64 games the other day they wanted 10 a piece for them and they wouldn't take my very generous offer of 5 (just some random star wars games) ) so yeah.. but also before you buy it bring in like 3 or 4 games and test the system before you leave.. thats the best route to go.
