Okay, I'll answer my own question:
Back a few months ago, the Wii was a worthless system. I had Trauma Center, Zelda, and that was it. Sure, there were a few games coming out during Spring and Summer, but it was a pathetically small number of games. Well, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now since there's like... 8 games that could potentially be worth buying coming out before the end of the year. It's nice. Now, I definitely don't like Nintendo's emphasis on the casual market, mainly because casual games are generally trash. However, they do have a couple things on the horizon right now, and more importantly, 3rd party developers are well into developing games for the Wii by now. Sega, Capcom, Namco, Square, etc... they're all making games that aren't mini-game collections, and that have more potential than what 3rd party games on the Gamecube offered.
So, I'm optimistic about the Wii's future now, because the Wii's where the money is, and thus, where 3rd party developers are (presumably) throwing their talents. And either way, I think the Wii's lineup for the end of the year is vastly superior to what either MS or Sony have to offer... the Playstation 3 doesn't have shit coming out and the 360 has a couple decent looking RPGs, Halo (if you're into that), and some multiplatform games that I'd rather play on the PC anyway. Point is, from my perspective, the Wii has a much better lineup of exclusives and games that are well designed rather than graphical showcases.
