Hey just wanted to let you all know that Hastings is having a 1 day sale today and they have abunch of pretty good deals, I found some RARE gems for dirt cheap there. I didn't know about this sale until stopped by there to shop. (otherwise this deal would have been posted way sooner)

I managed to get:

All of the games i got are in Excellent shape, and they are all from their Clearance rentals, some of these games are like they were never rented. This is Why its a good way to find some rare games because they are getting rid of their older rental backlog. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw a copy of Firefighter FD 18, that game seems impossible to find. :) GOOD LUCK !

there used to be some $5 off coupons still out there for signing up to playhastings.com, I used one a month ago on the LegoII deal and ended up with that for only $9
 
Sweet! i forgot about this. I managed to get:

Metal gear Solid 2 Substance PS2
Skies of Arcadia
Suikoden III
ZOE the 2nd Runner - YES!

But of course none of the games came with the manuals and were pretty scratched up.
 
Sucks I dont even know what a Hastings is, guess cuz i live out in the boonies or maybe they just dont have them in california yet. But yeah, I really want Robot Alchemic Drive thats is an amazing deal and a copy of Metal gear Solid 2 Substance PS2.
I will also gladly pay anyone who can get me one or both of those games for those prices =D
 
I wish I could find Robot Alchemical Drive or Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner. :( I got Saints Row for $19.99 and Rockstar Table Tennis for $9.99. Most of the PS2 games seem to be kiddie games...X-Box has great selection (stuff like Gunvalkyrie and Psychonauts) but too bad my 360 isn't backwards compatible enough.

The only things I saw were Armored Core 3 and Suikoden 3, but in dealing with PV stuff you deal with scratches and fingerprints from kids, as well as the stupid ring in the center Hastings puts on.. meh

Same here.. I'm surprised it didn't get much attention. I would have made the hour drive to my nearest Hastings for it.
 
I really need to check out a Hasting's sometime. My problem is the nearest one is at least a 45-minute drive away. BTW, do they give coupons or advance notice of sales if you sign up on their website?

no, if you're expectin' somethin' like an e-mail, and usually, no, if you're expectin' them to post their weekly ad online. while it used to be they would always have their new ad up on their site (unless it was the night of the last day of the sale), but lately, they've become lazy on this. i swear, i looked on their site for the ad all of last week, and only knew of this sale through this site THE DAY OF!!

but something's better than nothing when they do have sales, i guess
 
Yeah, it would be nice to have some more consistant info on the hastings deals. They have quite a few good ones like the Lego SW 360 for $14 a month ago.
 
I was at my mom's yesterday and had no idea about the sale. I picked up and price checked a few games and they did come up at that price.

I aked how I could have known about the sale on time and the Hastings employees just shrugged. I got them to ask the manager and all they could get was a "we put the ad out every Sunday" reply. The ad shown by the OP was NOT A SUNDAY AD. Where the heck is it from so I can be aware of future clearance rentals?

There's really no way to be aware of future clearance rentals. I guess you can ask the people that you know that work there.

I have information that Hastings isn't doing well at all and if they didn't do the sale, they would be negative in their store profit. So don't be surprised if a "Going Out Of Business" sale is going to happen soon.

I asked on a different shift today and they said they "believe" a pamphlet was included in a Thursday or Friday paper. Probably the super-local paper considering that theirs is the only store in the state and it's over 35-40 miles from most of Atlanta.

Also not really a sale or anything but most hastings have a 10$ or under rack that you can find used games on. I remember finding NBA 2k7. God Hand was there also for 9.99. Sometimes they have some really good deals if you pick thru them. Its not just for PS2 Either, The rack had Xbox, Ps2, Gamecube games.

The Newnan, GA store still has it as of this morning... unless that's the one you nabbed. :D Anyway, I'm hoping it'll stay there until the next 1-day clearance.
