Qualifying games I think usually means any game with a value in the system. 

COD Ghosts, ACIV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Killzone SF all are worth $50.

From yesterday, I know that Forza 5 is only worth $16, lol, and Ryse is $30.

All store credit, of course.

Oh, and GTAV is $40.  These values are all listed in the top buybacks on gohastings.com.

With GCU Unlocked you can get Ghosts for 39.99 Limited of 3 copies between all consoles though.

That's how it's probably going to pan out.  Let's just say that Hasting's has some flabbergasting deals sometimes...no real rhyme or reason to them.  I just got the e-mail from them with this coupon this morning while I was out of town; I have been salivating all day over how I'm going to put it to use.  Sucks it's only good for 4-5 days, and a lot of those $50 guaranteed values end on the 31st.  

Oh and yeah, their values for most next gen stuff not on those guaranteed lists are a joke (aside from the big franchise games like CoD, AC, and Battlefield, where you can get $40-50/ea).   I took FIFA 14 for the PS4 in there within two weeks of the console's release, and they offered something ridiculous like $14.  I politely declined...

But also, on the 1st they should have a new list of guaranteed TiV games which should be good for the whole month of January.  I expect the list next month (hopefully) to have more of the next gen exclusive stuff like Forza 5 , Ryse, DR3, etc.. for $40 or $50.  Since the recent holidays should have really put a lot of those consoles and games into new households, you can only imagine that Hasting's demand for trade-in's will shift more to titles like that, but then again, it's Hasting's.  

I'm not even going to give specific examples, but this is the company that has often sold a used game for less than they give in store credit, offered more than MSRP for used games, but then on the other hand inexplicably offer 1 penny on the dollar for a newer, popular in-demand title.  

Hasting's stores and deals they offer are almost always an incredible roller coaster of madness and insanity.  I am just glad to be along for the ride sometimes.

Was it for the 360? I have tried to trade that a few times in the last month, and they give me that same spiel every time, also, despite the fact that they currently have no used copies for the 360. I have traded in a PS3 and XB1 copy with no problems, however. Must be a system-wide thing.

I've traded in quite a few BF4 for 360 over the past two months with the wal mart pricing error and gamestop's b2g1 sales. I was denied yesterday trying to do the last one I had.

Doesn't seem like this thread bumped when I edited the OP last night so I'll try this again.

Oh, and last night COD Ghosts for the PS3 rang up correctly as listed on their website buyback values but the PS4 version was only $30.  Not sure if the Xbone version will be that way too.

I read on the 'other site' that people were told any games qualify (as long as complete and for select consoles). Going in later today to trade in some older games and hoping they work.

I was told they couldn't take Battlefield 4 (any platform this gen or next gen) as well as the Medal of Honor copies (1 , 1 ) I tried to trade in. What a bust.
