Title says it all; I'm just curious if those two games are still uncommon because they were sitting on the shelf of my local Fry's. San Marcos Fry's if anyone is looking for them.

It's cool that CAPCOM keeps an eye on the market and releases more copies of older games when needed. I wish other companies would follow! (thinking REZ!).

You know, I agree David.

I was in a Gamestop this week and they had used perfect non-GH of RE 2 and 3 for like $10. The same games, just ported, not improved, were used on the GameCube for $40.

Just one of those things that make you wonder just how truly stupid people are.

I agree (and this is not just the CAG in me)...I mean I guess it was a good idea to have the whole Resident Evil library on the Gamecube, but at least give them a reasonable price ($19.99)

I do not think they were re-released but rather no one decided to fork over $40 + tax for each one (GC version) when they can get it for ~$10 each for the Playstation version.

You give people way too much credit. Before March, people were paying $70 each for those games just because they were "rare", regardless that they're ports. They went down in price because they started becoming in stock in some places again. People bought tons, tried to resell, it stopped being rare, value went down. First it was RE2, then RE3. In case you somehow missed the 30 page thread on this for RE2 in March:

There are other threads for other stores and for RE3. The search button is your friend :)

if Capcom has a good product roadmap, we'll see the entire RE series in a Collector's Set around the holidays; just like Japan. btw, has anyone actually seen a RE chainsaw controller in a store?
I wish Capcom would charge a decent price for ports of old shity games.
The games themselves aren't bad at all. (Heck, they got great review scores back when they were originally released.) It's just that Capcom thought they'd increase their profits by charging a ridiculous $39.99 retail price given that these same games had already been available for years on a number of other systems.

I saw the chainsaw controller on saturday at my local gamestop when i went to get a live kit and forza. I think originally the re ports were supposed to be released at 19.99 but i dont know what happened to that.
