and they are on the 3 for 20 rack. I bought 3 HD DVDs used reg at 9.99 each and they rung up 6.33 a piece...with one coming free....so got a total of 3 HD DVDs for 14 bucks.

Yeah, it is just a problem of finding EB/GS that actually have any. They seem to be racking it with the DVDs when I have seen them, so finding them is tough without scanning everything they have.

The EB nearest me had one, yes ONE, HD-DVD last week. It was FOUR BROTHERS and I'd sooner chew broken glass than watch that one again, even if it is HD.

Sweet deal, though, if you can find it.

Wow, excellent deal....very YMMV on this though, as I don't see too many people traing in HD-DVD.

Four Brothers WAS awesome....one of my favorite movies last year.
 
One of the stores here had an HD King Kong, and another had BD Lord of War, and Silent Hill but this was a couple weeks ago when I was calling around. Most of the stores didn't even know they took HD/BD dvds in trade.

a bit off topiuc but four brothers was a POS movie I dunno what you are talking about. Its just your typical male masculinity-reinforcement type movie its a decent watch but some of us like movies with a bit more intellect.

Seriously guys. Chill on the sillyness. I appreciate the post, as I'd love more HD-DVD movies for my 360. But yeah, my local stores don't have much. Might be worth checking an additional one or two though... :D
 
I saw a used Tomb Raider HD-DVD, but the employee said it was defective. I highly doubt it was defective though, I bet some customer probably bought it and stuck it in their DVD player, and then returned it.
 
Great deal if any EB/GS actually had these in stock. Most do not, and will not till sometime after the holidays. This is VERY YMMV

My EB has no HD-DVD but a few Blu-Ray...my question is who would trade in these DVDs after only having them for a short period of time?

One Gamestop has Doom HD DVD and another has Phantom of the Opera HD DVD. These are two stores near me that I checked the stock online, I don't think its worth going and there only being one HD DVD.

How did you check the stock online? It only shows King Kong as an HD title...no Doom or Opera. Am I doing something wrong?

no just a guy who has seen a crap load of action films and how was it any better than the millions before it? I'm not here to argue movies that are bad so I won't and you can enjoy your Four Brothers.
 
Just go to a EB/GS thats near a Target/Walmart, people love to steal from them and sell to EB/GS. EB/GS's around here get all the newest releases "used" every tuesday afternoon.

Click "show backordered used products that may be available in-store" at the bottom of the screen after searching.
