CAGiversary!
I'm going to purchase a large HDTV in the next couple months and want to make sure I get the best bang for my buck. I'm going to get a Samsung LCD or LED. I'm just torn as to which one I'm going to specifically get.

I was planning on getting the first one until the 2nd gem came into play. I really want one with a 2ms response time as I'm a huge gamer and don't want the lag. I've played on HDTV's with larger response times and for me it is almost unplayable. The only real big difference is the contrast ratio. The first one has 150000 x 1 and the 2nd has 3,000,000 x 1. I'm relatively noobish to this whole TV situation and was wondering how big of a difference this will make. Did some research and found that the contrast ratio is more or less a marketing tool to wow people with big fancy numbers.
Just let me know what you guys think and I thank you for your feedback!! Thanks!
