how come my free space says 38 gig out of 55 gig instead of 60 gig?

also, how can i upgrade my ps3 browser's flash player? I can't play videos on GameTrailers.com

also, can i use my debit card to add funds to my wallet? I don't want to use a credit card. My debit card has a VISA logo on it. But I want to pay using the money that's already in my debit card. I'd like to get a couple of PSN games.

Anyone willing to share some btw?

5GBs of your hard drive is allotted to the system itself. It uses it for caching and other such things.

You can use a debit card with a Visa logo to add funds to your wallet.

As for updating your flash player, no idea.
 
I believe the only way the flash player can be updated is through firmware updates (meaning only when Sony releases the necessary software, will you be able to view gametrailer videos). The other option is to install Linux and to use a better internet browser there (kind of excessive if you ask me).
 
I didn't know you could use Linux browser on your PS3. Oh there's so many things I want to know more about my PS3. I hear you can use an external harddrive too. Is there a guide or FAQ somewhere?
 
Well, you have to install the actual linux operating system on your PS3 to get the Linux browser. Not worth it to me, if you're just going to use the internet browser.

And yes, you can upgrade your HDD or use an external one.
