Help: I need a restore/recover CD for e-machines 5405 Laptop

I've reformatted my HD, and I can't get it to install an OS off of regular install CDs. I don't even know for certain that the restore CD will work at this point, but I'd love to give it a try. Anyone have this?

I had to burn the restore software all on cds since I didn't have a dvd at the time, but yea I have 1,2,3, and 4. If I send you some copys whats in it for me

Try asking emachines customer service. They should be able to help. They will probably charge you something for the discs but it may not be too much. Some of companies charge a lot, some don't.

The satisfaction that comes with knowing that you helped someone? Of course I'd pay for the cost of the cdrs and the cost of shipping. What did you have in mind?

I'm not even sure that the restore cds are going to help...it should be able to install off of the installation discs that I have, but I can't even get a live Ubuntu Linux distro to boot up properly.
