I'm trying to decide between PSP and Nintendo DS. Please provide pros ad cons along with your opionion on which I should buy. Thanks for the help guys.

Ahhh C'mon man do we have to say these once again , ds is cheaper with many good games and wifi , psp has better graphics mp3 player and movie player but the majority are ps2 ports and the games are way much more expensive as well if you got all the money buy a psp be ready to spend 500$ and up for a decent setup of the things you need !

If you have a long commute or a ton of free time at a job or something where you will want to watch movies, then get a PSP. I would say DS if you are more interested in just playing games, since there are more quality games out for it than for PSP, and they are cheaper. For the price of a PSP, you could get a DS and probably any 3 games of your choice for it, not to mention that it can play GBA games too, which was a big selling point for me since I never had a GBA. PSP is still a good system, but I think $50 for a new game (of which GTA is the only one I want right now) is too much for something you can only play on a small, yet nice, screen.

PSP has better graphics and more features, but I think DS has more games (and better quality ones), plus its WiFi kicks dick.

DS is stricktly for gaming while the PSP offers multimedia features as well as a web browser (plus you can run emulators on it). I prefer the DS since I'm mostly intrested in gaming and I have my Ipod video for everything else. But I must say that if you enjoy retro games there is nothing that compares to the PSP. You can play all your retro games as long as you shell out a few bucks a purchase the 1GB memory stick.

All of the good DS games are out now, the psp games are going to start coming out this year. DS is probably going to get a redesign sometime soon (see the gba sp and micro) but psp could also see a price drop.

It depends what you really want. I have owned both, and prefer the PSP to the DS. I like the fact that I can watch movies, listen to music, and play games all on one system. This is probably due to the fact that I spend a lot of time on campus, so I like my entertainment needs to be portable. I enjoy many of the psp games, however, I agree that they are a little bit expensive for ports of older games. That being said, many of the games I haven't played for a while, so it's sorta nostalgic to play them again.:)
no thanks on the gba, i can play gba games on ds so wth would i buy a gba system?
Because it's heavy and not as easy to handle. I own both and vastly prefer the smaller size and decreased weight of the SP.

At 6'2" with large hands, I really like the size of the DS. It makes it easier to play games for longer periods of time. I still have an SP, but it rarely gets used anymore.

Well i purchased both system at their launches and I have to say the psp is far worse than the ds. Not only does the ds have far better games but you have a huge cataloge of gba games to play. It is a far better value.

Like some have said, it really depends on your preferences.

PSP has better graphics, plays movies, downloadable content and internet and such, and a few killer games, and DS has a bunch good games, touch screen, and cheaper price.

I'd go with a PSP, but that's just me.
