Help me find the name of this famous movie please!

I am trying to remember the name of this movie...i have never seen the orignal but it gets reference MILLIONS OF MILLIONS OF TIMES.

Its the movie in which a guy breaks his leg...and sits in his house watching his neighboor from his upstairs bedroom. Then he thinks that his neighboor has killed his wife or something.

Please someone tell me the real name of his moive i really dont have time to search for it on google.
 
There is the original with Jimmy Stewart and then there is a remake with Christopher Reeve (after his horse accident).

No offense to Christopher Reeve but Hitchcock movies should NEVER be remade. Gus Van Sant remaking Psycho...:puke:
