Help! Need to delete saved data

I bought Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (n64) off of eBay used. I searched everywhere in the game's menus and I cannot find out how to delete the save data. I bet the option is staring at me and I am too dumb to see it. Please help! Thanks!

I think if you boot the system holding the start button will give you the option to do it.

That's for memory cards. There should be a option to delete somewhere near the start screen.
