CAGiversary!
I know Im not the only one with this problem. I need to have my 360 fixed CHEAP. Has anyone had their system fixed by Microsucks at no cost?? Thanks for all of your help.

No, not free. My console was manufactured on 11-22-2005. I purchased it 1-27-2006. Lights came on 1 month and 2 days after warranty expired. I have spent about $1200 since then. They want $140 to fix. I have not done anything to cause any damage to it. I could see paying for it if I had dropped it or abused it in any way.

what did you spend the extra $1200 on? hookers and coke?
Ah, planned obsolesence.
usually planned obsolsence is used to get people to buy the new version of a product, not the same one.

o and was this xbox purchased used or something? and where did that $1200 go?

People do the math!!

Xbox 360 console $450 after tax
12 games @ $60 each = $720
Xbox Live $50
Wireless headset $60
Extra game pad $50

The total is well over $1200 for just the basics, add a nice sized high def TV and the total jumps even higher. Thanks to the few that had actual advice for me

Try for another rep, friend of mine went through this and the first one swore up and down he had to pay, called again and the second one was straight up baffled saying no it was free.

You bought 12 games at 59.99? You're at the wrong site..

Yes. I said "microsucks" over the phone and the tech guy started cracking up. He said since I was so witty, there'd be no charge.

if you spent that much on a 360, i don't see how spending 140 bucks more would be a problem to keep all your assets still thriving

Yeah that sucks, but hey, it could be worse. My father-in-law owns a TV repair shop, he has people sticking $600 into a $3000 TV they bought less than a year and a half ago because they were out of warranty ... I guess $140 isn't that bad.

It's not the money folks, what other piece of electronic eequipment that you have purchased has failed in one year one month and two days under normal operation? I guarantee if you have had a problem with the piece of equipment it was an isolated incident. "THE RING OF DEATH" has 100+ websites dedicated to the problem. Microsucks needs to do something, this is not an isolated incident.

thankf ully no red lights yet...

but today, i was rushing to get my game out to bring it to a party..i forgot to turn the damn 360 off..so i just got back and its been on for 8 hrs...no game inside though..will this long time keeping it on cause any long term issues?

Alot of electronics fail and at least you have it for over a year?

I'd probably eBay the broken one and buy a new system instead of paying $140 to fix it.
