Help With A Male Specific Medical Issue

CAGiversary!

This past weekend I started feeling some pain near my right testicle. It started at first as just a tightness or mild soreness. I thought I had maybe just sat down wrong and pulled it a bit. So far this week it's gotten worse. It's not a debilitating pain, just enough to be annoying. The worst part of it is that it keeps me up at night. Not because of pain but because I seem to be radiating heat from my sack. It's the worst when I lay down to sleep. I fall asleep but wake up every couple hours because of the heat. I felt around down there and didn't feel any lumps on righty. The trouble seems to be coming from the coil of tubes connected to the testicle.

I went to the doctor yesterday. He checked me out, ran a urine test (clear), and said he thinks it's just an infection. He prescribed some antibiotics and told me to follow up in a week once I was done with them. I had this same type of an issue last October, went through a round of antibiotics, and even had an ultrasound done just to be on the safe side.

Have any male CAGs out there had this type of issue? It's annoying the hell out of me now because I haven't had a good night's sleep in about a week. Although it seems to be a minor thing whenever I have problems with that part of my body the "C" word always pops up in the back of my mind.

EDIT: UPDATE 7/11/08
I thought the two rounds of antibiotics had solved the problem but the pain came back this week. I went back to the doctor this morning and he prescribed another round of antibiotics, had me go in for a scrotal ultrasound, and gave me the name of a urologist. Hopefully I will have some answers next week.

Don't worry it's probably just one of your testicles dying.

A more serious cause of testicle pain is testicular torsion, a condition that occurs when the testicles and spermatic cord, a structure that runs from the abdomen to the testicles, twist inside the scrotum. Because testicular torsion can block the flow of blood to the testicles, it requires immediate medical attention. Testicular cancer also may, rarely, cause testicle pain.

That's OK, I've got two of em'.

The doctor talked about that but said if that were the case I would be in much more severe pain.

I've had similar issues. I never had the radiating heat problem. Just some pain in my right. I went to the urologist and got it checked out and had an ultrasound done. No tumors or anything like that, praise Jesus. I did have what they call varicocele (sp?) which is an enlargement of the veins. Which can cause infertility if it gets worse. That part I don't like, being that I just got married.

My urologist said that some men have to learn to live with the pain, unless they want to go through with surgery. Which I guess if it's bad enough, it's worth it.

I haven't had much pain lately. Every once in a while. I'm supposed to have another ultrasound this summer to see how the veins are doing. I pray that they have remained the same.

I've had some minor pain before but this heat thing is what's killing me. The last couple nights I've slept in the basement b/c it's the coolest place in the house. I fall asleep for a couple hours then wake up sweating b/c my crotch is kickin' out heat like a furnace. Right now at work I've got my desk fan blowing under my desk just trying to stay cool.

Would you want to eat it afterwards?!

Testicular torsion sometimes doesn't hurt mega at first. It may lead to swelling and burning until it starts to become major.
Try jerking off. You're probably just clogged up and need to flush the system.
Just don't do it in the office. You wouldn't want it hitting the fan and giving everyone a mass bukkake. Or do you? :whistle2:$
Blue balls... you have a case of blue balls.

Just wait... your next orgasm will be like a wax dart.
I wish that was the problem. I think shooting a load right now would make the problem worst. Especially if the infection is in the "plumbing" down there. I think the antibiotics are helping although they don't set well with my stomach. I feel 40% better than I did yesterday and last night. Hopefully I'm on the upward swing.

This is why I love Cheapassgamer. It's all slings and arrows until a genital anomaly arises (nudge nudge), and then everyone is serious.....except for the guy who wants to heat his hot pocket (metaphor?) on your wedding tackle.

Seriously, though, is there a male equivalent to a gynecologist? I really don't know, but as uncomfortable as that may sound, wouldn't it be nice to be able to call up the guy and ask specific questions about your "junk" that you don't want to ask anyone else? For example, "Hey Doc, is it normal that sometimes my sack looks like it breathes?" Etc.
Sounds like a infection. Gets some penicillin. Have a doctor hold your nuts and cough. Hope its a chick!
LOL, been there done that. I went to the doctor yesterday and he (no female doc unfortunately) prescribed me a weeks worth of antibiotics. Seems to be helping already.

Sometimes my balls hurt and it's usually a warning sign I have to take a really epic crap. I mean the kind you take and just sit there for 15 minutes afterwards with the biggest smile of satisfaction on your face.
I'm glad to hear that the antibiotics are working out for you. Hope you feel better, man.
Thanks. The real test will be tonight when I go to sleep. For the past week that's when I've had the worst time with this. I've probably only averaged about 3-4 hours sleep each night because the heat and pain keeps waking me up.

If the op only has two nuts losing one would be a big deal even if he has three or more it would still be a big deal right? Of course this is a serious problem.

If you're gonna quote something, do the whole quote :

"Urology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the urinary tracts of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males."

Good luck man...

I had a similar problem about 2 years ago without the burning. But I had a recurring dull pain and urinating would come out in spurts. Didn't hurt any more when urinating but just hurt all the time. First they put me on antibiotics, that did nothing. I got an ultrasound that showed a few cysts but they said they were nothing to worry about. Then they sent me to a urologist who did a 10 minute surgery where...well...they stuck something in a hole that is only meant for out and took a look around. That.....was not fun afterwards and for about 3 days the bathroom was not my friend. Again they found nothing. But what was less fun was when my insurance company tried to get out of the $7,000 bill. Ultimately I won that and they never did find what was wrong but it went away after a while. The doctor suspects I had some small kidney stones that didn't show up in any of the tests. The pain still returns sometimes but never for long or to the degree it had before.

Yikes! That does not sound fun. It seems like the antibiotics are kicking in. Sorry Maklershed, the heat seems to be dissipating so no more warm hot pockets. I feel about 70% better today. I still have some soreness and heat but nothing close to what it was Tuesday night.

Two years ago, I woke up in excruciating pain. My right testicle was hurting. It swelled and I headed to the doctor. I was told it was probably torsion...and they sent me to have the ultrasound. I was extremely relieved when they said they found nothing of the sort. Gave me some pills, and a week later or so it was fine. Not really sure what it ultimately was.

I was reading about that on-line a few nights ago when I couldn't sleep. Torsion doesn't sound like fun. Maybe that's what you had but they happened to get untwisted? I haven't had any swelling, just heat and some mild pain. I'm supposed to back to the doctor for a follow-up visit next week once I finish the antibiotics.

I read a study that said men that masturbate atleast once a day are 70% less likely to get prostate cancer.

That's good to hear OP. I had a case when I was a little kid. I didn't have the heat eminating from my prostate, but it felt like I was kicked in the nuts and they became all brused. Luckily it wasn't torsion, which is usually what comes to mind first. It was something else , I couldn't remember, which eventually went away and never came back. Well, every since then, I've been masturbating non-stop and I'm as healthy as a horse down there.

They always look for torsion because you can become infertile very soon after experiencing it, as someone said earlier. So it's always better to be safe than sorry.

To be honest, I came in here expecting one of those, "I cut a hole in my sac" types of threads, haha.

I must have one of the healthiest prostates ever. Ha.

Your comment reminds me of an episode of that MTV show "Scarred" that I saw awhile back. Some skateboarder was trying to grind on a railing, he fell, smashed his crotch on the bar, and literally ripped his sack open. His crotch hit right on the end of the bar that had a jagged metal edge.

Seriously. My prostate is probably perfect. Probably the equivalent of Ryan Reynolds' abs.

I actually saw that episode. When I saw that segment, I just went numb on my lower extremities. I believe that guy even felt his testicle outside of the scrotum with his hand. I sure as hell would never want to experience that. *shivers*

Well I thought I had gotten past my problems but they resurfaced this week. I went to the Dr this morning. He had me go in for a scrotal sonogram and gave me the name of a urologist. At some point next week I'll be going there.

one of my buddies had a similar problem, he went to the doc to get it checked out, the doc told him to put some icy hot on it, next day my buddy was all better

just a suggestion, it might work

Thanks for the advise. I think I'll wait and see what the urologist says before I try that. My doctor also prescribed my third round of antibiotics for me to take while I'm working on getting in to see the urologist.

In case anyone is still watching this thread I figured I would update it...

I went to the urologist this past Friday. He reviewed my ultrasound images, checked me out, and said I had an infection (epydidimitis). He said the reason he thought it kept coming back was because we hadn't entirely eliminated the infection. He gave me 20 days worth of a lesser antibiotic to try a steady treatment and see if that gets rid of it once and for all. He also said there were no abnormalities (cysts, tumors, etc) to be worried about which was a huge relief!

I've been feeling back to 100% in that area for several days now just in time to deal with my latest issue... A huge lump on the back of my head that the best that I can tell is due to a bug bite. It is making my head hurt pretty bad.

Atleast its not on righty.

I live in the town where that happened. Whack.

That's very true. Yesterday I went to the doctor and they gave me yet another antibiotic to try and treat what seems to be some sort of infection caused by an insect bite on the back of my head. The pain and swelling have finally started to go down as of this morning.
did u try the icy hot yet?
I haven't tried that because the pain has been pretty much gone for the past week.
