Heroes S1 $13 @ Target w/$6 off cpn YMMV

ridiculously cheap. I thought I had a great deal at 29.99! It's sold out locally though. Thanks for this, i'll pass it on to a friend that's been looking for it.

Hey if this works i'll be stoked. I was at Target today pondering this purchase for a while, but if I could it for $15 out the door I'll bite.

This cpn is from an insert in the Times and the faint red lettering is from the Toshiba HDDVD ad on the back. It came with a bunch of other mfr's cpns for new release DVDs and box sets, if anyone cares. This is my first time posting a cpn and I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to get this to scan properly, so forgive the quality of the scan. It's a mfr's cpn, so it should work, who knows? YMMV

Well done, the scan quality is great:applause: Especially compared to the one on posted on DVDtalk that was low res and crumpled. Thanks I'll give it a shot
Have you tried it?
Will Target take it, even tho it's on sale?
I haven't tried this particular cpn myself since I already bought Heroes the day it came out for $35ish. But I have tried using a manufacturer's cpn before at Target on Surf's Up the day it came out when it was on sale, it worked without a problem and the cashier even commented how good a deal it was. So, hopefully it should work as long as it scans, but it's YMMV whether the cashier takes copies or not.
Is the HD DVD version on sale too?
This cpn doesn't work for the HDDVD version, sorry. I don't believe it's on sale at Target this week either.
Is this price confirmed in store? If so i'll go tomorow morning and snag it
The front page of the weekly ad confirms the $19 price, which is good until Sat.
what other coupons did they have?
It was from a Universal Pictures promotional insert and it has mfr's cpns for other DVDs: $3 off The Bourne Ultimatum, Balls of Fury, American Pie Presents Beta House, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Evan Almighty, Mr. Bean's Holiday, Bring It On: In It To Win It, and $6 off Saturday Night Live Season 2. I still have all the cpns and they are all good until the last day of Jan.

I also have a 20th Century Fox promo with cpns for $2 off Jingle All The Way, The Devil Wears Prada, Garfield 2, Aquamarine, $5 off both Miracle on 34th St and The Sound of Music, and a $15 mail-in rebate for The X-Files Complete Collection. These are also good until the end of Jan.

I didn't want to bother scanning and posting all of them and I didn't know if anyone was interested.

Ahh ok, for some reason i didnt get a target ad. I'll swing by saturday and get the dvd or worst case get the ad.

Figures...I just picked it up at Target last night for $19 but it was the last one so I'm not all that upset. I figured 7 discs for $19 is pretty sweet.

price matched at meijers for 19. thought they would all be gone at target. Tried to watch season 2 but was totally lost

now i have 21 box sets unopened to watch LOL

off the top of my head

My DVD backlog can top yours - I have over 500 unopened box sets and DVDs to watch (it's probably close to 1000, I hope not but probably is)

Woot perfect, went to return some christmas stuff on the 26th and saw the 19.99 deal and couldn't pass up ont it (heroes is my new fad.) Going to go back and price adjust this stuff since I didn't open it waiting for a coupon or something the internet always seems to have in its bowels.

*EDIT* here is a cleaner copy without the red lettering if it bothers anyone. Gotta love photoshop and the color replacement tool.

I got a rain check and im going to circuit city to if they'll price match plus it making it 16 or 17 dollars

the way the people that made the coupons word the thing is so damn creepy. kinda makes me not want to use it just cause i dont want anything to happen lol.

Doh, I also just picked this up last night. Hrm...I'm half-way tempted to re-buy it with the coupon, then return the unopened one with my original receipt.

Sourgraping? common dude.. $13 way too far cheap compare to $19

Thanks OP for the scanned coupon it worked at Bestbuy near me! (Price Match - less - printed coupon)

Ditto! I was reading through this thread quickly this morning. I was in a rush and thought it said the coupon was for the HD version. I was so excited for the $19 Heroes, I ran out and picked up the last copy, but if they have another copy tomorrow I might just buy it again with coupon and return :)

Just a heads up, I went today and got the copy I bought yesterday price adjusted. She was like, "Is this a copy?" I said no I got it from the NY times merchandise pages in the back. She gave me $6 dollars back since I paid cash.

I'll be heading over to Target later today (most likely), so I guess I'll give this a go, I'll let everyone know if it works or not for me.
Just picked this up, coupon worked like a charm, no questions asked.
Ditto. Although I did increase the size a bit just in case the cashier wanted to read the fine print. This was in the Sunnyvale, CA store. Grabbed the last one on the shelf right before lunch and checked out in the regular checkout line(s), not the electronics dept.

But.. if the cashier reads the fine print, she/he might not have not process it because it clearly states "...Coupon may not be reproduced, copied or transfered". Perhaps better to leave it at the original size. ;)

Read the posts before yours. It clearly worked. May depend on the mood of the employee if you run into any snags.
Well,
I'm worried I'll get in trouble for using it.
Has someone used it without any problems?
I doubt there's any way you could get in trouble. The worst thing they could do is not honor the coupon.

This is OT, but how do you handle them if when you open them you discover something is defective and you are WELL past your return date on the sets? Aren't you taking a big risk?

I always worry about that with all the unopened games I have what happens if there no disc in there and its been a year and a half since I purchased it?

It pops up a message "coupon not local or in system". cashier calls up supervisor, supervisor came and ask if obtained thru email. Said yes and it is manufacturer coupon. Supervisor has to override message... paid cash ($13+ tax) and walked out the door. :D

I just came back from the Target on Route 23. in NJ, and they had no copies left.

I asked them for a rain-check, and they gave me a bull-crap answer saying that "just that one item" was un-rain-check-able, so they refused to give me a rain-check for it (depsite people in this thread clearly getting them).. so yeah, I recommend not going to this Target - I'm going to try and check a few others before the sale ends tomorrow though.

You take a print out the weekly ad snapshot from target and take it to BB or CC for price match. It may or may not work.. since it is web print but give it a shot.
