I bought a Shining Force for GBA off eBay recently...it looks like a cheap copy....

I'm not sure though, it might be a foreign cart. Are there differences between the US version and the JAPAN version carts?

This one looks a darker color and a slightly different shape then the one's I bought in store (this one also gives me a choice at the beginning of the game for language.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated. I think I should get a refund as this doesn't look authentic.
Does it say "Nintondo" on it? Probably a bootleg.
Nah, it says Nintendo.

Does anyone have a copy of this game? And if you do, is it any different from your other games?

I would think the Japanese version would have Japanese written on it... and the game would be in Japanese...

I think the best way to see if it is legit is to look up into the contacts and see if Nintendo, copyright year, and serial number is printed on the board. These should be on all legit carts (tho I don't have european games, so I can't personally vouch for those).
Um..."Shinning" Force?

There's your problem.
Eh, you knew what I meant.
So have you checked the area on the board above the contacts? The suspense is killing me :p

Here's some examples from Nintendo so you can see what I'm talking about. (you don't need to open the cart to see it)

Like the old original Game Boy carts, this one has metal contacts all the way until the plastic closes it off.

Thanks for the link...it looks to be a fake. The cart is a darker color, I'm about to take cart apart in a sec...probably

I can see the serial number on the board on all of my GBA carts, so that's probably not a good sign :\
