HORI digital pads for GAMECUBE now available in the USA thru GAMECRAZY stores!

these are SNES inspired gamecube controllers made by hori. I wasn't aware they were available domestically until now.

how much? if the price is right I'd be interested in one.

Question: what does the "select" button do? I thought little of it until I realized that GameCube doesn't even have a Select button. Is it basically an extra button for use with the Gameboy player?

Yep.

I've had my Hori pad for a while now, and I love it. It's the absolute best thing for the Gameboy Player and games that don't use (or really need) the analog or C-stick. Viewtiful Joe's a good one.

That's good to know, since I have a GB Player.
 
Works great with the gameboy player and also with the resident evil titles for GC because as you know they do not have anolog control. :(

Very well constructed and highly recommended for GB player.
If you do not have the GB player I would not pick it up.
 
I want one of those Hori Controllers they would be so cool for Zelda Minish Cap on tv. It would be like a new zelda for snes! Too bad no gamecrazy by me

i should be hitting up my locl GAMECRAZY tomorrow to see whats what - I'll grab some xtras if they have em and help you guys out
 
I've always felt that these classic controllers were a waste of time since they don't have analog sticks. And I'm not willing to have to swap controllers between games, for several reasons.
 
wow at 15 bucks I would pick one up in a second. If someone does get one please post a pick of what the package looks like so we know what to look for.
 
Wow, I was about to buy a couple of these from Play-Asia too. Thanks OP for bringing this up. Too bad I'll have to wait until Xmas to be anywhere near a GameCrazy.
 
I've been wanting to pick one up to help my Ikaruga game, so I'm looking forward to getting back home where there is a GameCrazy.

Is this confirmed? I went to my closest Gamecrazy and the guy said they were sold out and apparently in a brilliant programing move, if something is OOS they can't look up any details for the product such as price in their computers.

I'm pretty sure you pronounce the H since it's a Japanese name.

So it's been verified that Game Crazy's are carrying these things at least, right?

I think, at least the dude at my gamecrazy led me to believe he had heard of them and do have them, they were just OOS. I'm just debating if I really wanna do all the driving nessecary to track one of these down before christmas. I didn't even really want one that bad until I found out the closest store was OOS and I couldn't have one. That makes me want one about 5x as much now

I just wish Lik-sang and Play-Asia would get the black one back in again. :(

Oh, and how is this a deal? Is this even a specific video game deal considering the OP didn't even bother to put where he found it, the price, or anything else that could possibly help? :?

I purchased one of these yesterday at game crazy.

glad i didn't forget to look for it

it was tucked away on a wall with a bunch of other GC controllers and stuff.. the box on the first page of the post is the box it came in.

I got black and it matches my GC... they had two in stock before i purchased mine, both black

$15 bucks is not bad, thanks OP!!

EDIT: yeah the box looks a lot like the one on the first page only the writing is in english... give a good look because if you remember, the controllers used to be *tiny*
