Oh yes, I did. I haven't done an OTT in months.

Hello new OTT

I was so close to getting 4 checkers on the bar in HW Backgammon last night. Ended up having two rolls to get a 5 before the cpu got one off the bar, but no luck. I've worked out that you need to wait until the opponent has at least 4 singles out there (so you have enough targets) before you start capturing. Before that I try to block off spots in my back section.

HW Backgammon also doesn't track how many games you've played/won despite a few cheesemints dealing with that number. Lame. Same deal with Hexic HD.

JFD, Wavebirds are scarce, now that Nintendo's done selling them. There's been a few people in the trading forum selling them, though "reasonable" price is another matter entirely.

The real bitching will come from people that have already bought the title if they decide to make an existing game free. I know I'd be cheesed. They better just pick an upcoming game.

thing with silver getting it is you can make a shitload of silver accounts. Or so I thought.

But what would be the advantage of doing that here? To download multiple copies of a free game to your HDD? Doesn't really make sense.

A better argument would maybe have been that anyone who has been a subscriber since Christmas isn't entitled to anything, since you could predicate the argument on "they are the fuckers who fucked the fuck up."

But even that's a pretty weak rationalization.

MS has the cash. Might as well take 'em to the bank. What happened to the corporation-hate around here? I recall people throwing shit fits when Nintendo doesn't give out a free VC game for Christmas, like that shit was expected or something.

Can't have your cake and eat it too, kids.

I look at Aegis Wing and I've played a few random multiplayer matches on Live and can usually find at least a handful at any given time. If it wasn't a free for everyone game I'm pretty sure I'd have to specifically arrange a time with a couple XBL friends to ever find somebody online to play.

Free stuff is good for everybody.

Any plans to play a retail game Strell? :D
 
I almost hope it extends to silver members and there's a choice because I can use my secondary account and Jonathan's account to get all the different games as well as my gold account.

There's a lot of really really good XBLA games out.. some a lot better then retail games.
Strell, have you tried Marble Blast Ultra?? I'm a little late to that party, but I downloaded it recently (since it dropped in price) and it's TOO much fun. Especially multiplayer.
 
I don't even know it bitches gonna let me play CoD4 with 'em, which sort of diminished the motivation to play it right now. Castlevania and Catan are a lot of fun.

Tried out the Bioshock demo, which gives a good amount of impetus to go ahead and pick it up. So I imagine it and Oblivion will be high on the list very quickly.

Also, hunting for cheap games at CC yesterday = I saw the three pack. I picked it up, dropped it, looked straight up into the air, raised my fists, and screamed out WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBB a few times.

I scared an old lady!

Edit: Have not, lilboo. I have Kororinpa on the Wii. Are they similar? I imagine there's not too much variety when it comes to marble-centric games. Plus, the next points I get are spent before they get here on Psychonauts and Space Giraffe, methinks. Or Carcassonne + something else 800.
 
Love climbing around the cities in Assassin's Creed, especially when viewpoints are on top of cathedrals and other tall buildings. Did a interrogation mission and the target wouldn't go into a dark area, so I had to beat his ass in public and he ended up on these steps and when I went to stab him after getting the info, it was his crotch that got the blade.

I gots it. Picked it up on December 26 with gift cards for $37.

It's sitting next to my 360. Castlevania and Catan are making fun of it and making it feel bad about itself. All those shiny polygons are getting nut-kicked by 1996 2D pixels and bad voice-acting.

Hard makes me cry. I beat one song on hard. just one.

I did download the free expansion pack but haven't really gotten back into it.
 
Oh god I hate Hot Topic, it is not the close it is just the description people see for themselves by shopping there. If you ask me the store is a rip off also.

If you shop Hot Topic sales, like I do you end up with a nice wardrobe at a pretty cheap cost. I get anime and game tshirts for 5 dollars, nice skirts and pants for 10 dollars, nice blouses for 10 dollars... etc. Do not pay regular price for anything at Hot Topic because ultimately there will be a sale and that item will be available for it.
 
Assassins Creed was so repetitive and boring 1/2 way through I had to listen to podcasts to keep myself entertained.
