How Do You Tell If A Site's Legit

I know this isn't game related, but I was wondering how you guys tell when a sites legit or not..

I've been looking for sports related things to put around the house, and came across this website,

it seems to be one of the few who carry items i'm interested in, but they're all sites that I've not seen before, so was wondering how you can tell if sites are legit
