How I got my PSP, 5 games, 1 movie, 1 GB mem stick, and logitech case and saved $220+

Thanks to the fire sale I had earlier this month (and the clean up auctions on eBay) I am now the proud owner of a PERFECT PSP. I bought the PSP used on eBay for $248.05 (+ $10 shipping) and it came with Spiderman 2, Twisted Metal, and Metal Gear Ac!d. Even though there were a few items missing (cleaning cloth and the manuals for the PSP and MGA), the condition of the screen and purchase price made it worth while. In addition, I managed to get a used 1 GB pro duo and a logitech case for $105 (+ $3.95 shipped) off of PSPforums.com, I got in on the EBGames trade in deal where I picked up $100 of store credit and bought Hot Shots Golf and Lumines, AND used a $5 coupon to buy Darkstalkers @ Best Buy! (One LONG run on sentence.)

When it was all said and done, my out of pocket expenses came to $410. I saved between $220 and $260 and couldn't be happier! Especially since I have all this:

PSP
Spiderman 2 UMD
Metal Gear Ac!d
Lumines
Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee
Twisted Metal: Head On
DarkStalkers Chronicles
1 GB Pro Duo
Logitech PSP Case

Just a little self indulgence before I go on vacation. :D Anyone else have a cool story like this?

That is a good deal.

The only thing I can compare to that is getting a new DS for $105 (I gotta send it to Nintendo, it's got like 3 stuck pixels), Feel the Magic for $15 and Zoo Keeper for $10.
 
Nice, did you actually get good amounts for those DVDs? I didn't think you'd hit anything near your reserve.

Nice seeing you posting again Daphatty even though it is not as frequent as before you got that new job. I wish I could score something like what you got, especially all that PSP stuff. Anyways congrats and lets hope you don't get any of those dead pixels problems.

Actually, the DVD movies didn't meet my reserve, which is fine because I made more money than I actually needed anyway. The two game auctions I had more than doubled the reserve so that made up for the DVDs not selling.

Well that sucks, if that auction had worked out I was planning to try my luck with a few of my old movies that are just sitting around.
 
You could dragon punch a kid in the throat and steal his PSP. It works for some people.
 
I got a Launch PSP and 4 Launch games (RR, Twisted Metal, Lumines, THUG 2) for $225. all new. very good deal IMO since i basically got a PSP and 4 games for 50% of the MSRP on launch day.
