i have a sealed copy of shin megami tensei: nocturne. its the non-limited edition copy. i am thinking about trading it in to EB games maybe.

they will give me the 49.99 for it right? do they let you cash out? or just store credit? if so i would probably put it towards SMT:DDS.

i am goin to call the store tommrow to see

There's a non-limited edition version?

even if the game is sealed, I doubt they'll give you full credit for the game. It's not like you're selling it to them, and they'll count it in as pre-played value.

They will treat it as USED, regardless of it being sealed or not. Unless, you bought the game at EB, and have the sales slip where you can get a refund.

Just because it's NEW, doesn't mean he stole it.

ahhh.....darn, how much is pre-played value do u think? around 30 bucks?

yep there is a non-limited edition, i think its rarer then the "limited edition", it doesnt have the wording on the back"includes sountrack" or whatever

 49.99, good one. But yeah like people have said they will give you regular trade in value for the game. And about EB not taking in sealed games, I haven't had that problem. I traded in 2 sealed games during the $10 trade in bonus promotion. But it maybe YMMV.

must just be the ghetto EB's.

If it's not worth anything extra, you can always just open the damn thing to avoid suspicion.

I'd sell it on ebay or trade it here or something, you might make more that way. Unless the guys are really cool about returning shit without a receipt, which is the only way you could get the full retail price back as credit, you will only get their trade in value as if it were used.

You'd probably just get the usual trade-in value. The last time I accepted a return without a receipt because the customer was completely freaking out and threatened to call customer service on me and stuff because he didn't like the game and that it's our fault we tricked customers like that....my district manager yelled at me and accused me of possibly "stealing" the game, lol.

A friend of mine who is a manager at a EB got yelled at by the DM for telling a kid that he didn't sell barbie dolls at his store. I guess the little girl wouldnt stop crying and her mom was SUPER mad.

While I never worked at EB, I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I worked retail all through high school. It used to piss the hell out of me that the managers always took the customers' side.
