How often does MS have a discount on gamertag changes?

I remember it happening once, but I'm not sure if I just never noticed if they've done it more than once. If they have, what is the usual sale price? Thanks.

Honestly it probably won't happen anytime soon (if ever). I am not sure that I remember them ever having such a thing but I could be wrong.

I do remember before the made it so you had to pay money to do it, you got to change it one time for free.

They did have a discount one time, but I'm pretty sure that was the only time they ever did it. Was at least a couple years ago. Don't remember the price they cut it to.

In August and October of 2011 it was discounted by 30% and 50% respectively. If you're hoping for another discount sometime soon, I wouldn't hold my breath though. Those two times nearly three years ago are the only couple of times they've ever done it, to my knowledge.

They probably make enough money from it that they don't need to offer a discount.

I find game specific GT to be hilarious.  Especially all the Halo ones and then you look at their game history and they haven't played a Halo game in ages.
