how old do you need to be to start working at gamestop?

16. According to Google. Which you should probably try first in the future, because typing "gamestop employment" is less characters than your post here.

Funny, because he's probably going to be the employee that asks the other employees when shit comes out or how much it costs instead of looking it up in the computer.

If you're lazy, then you should be googling it yourself. It's almost always less work.
I was told 18 here. It might depend on each store.
I just went by this. http://www.gamestop.com/gs/help/employment.asp He's almost certainly a minor, given that he's asking this question, so the part time option is the only one open, probably.
Never understood why everyone wants to work there
Novice mistake, I suppose. Gamers think, "Wow, what could be better than working in a game store, where I can use my gaming knowledge to help other buyers' decisions and get great gaming buddy coworkers?"

And yet all I hear is horror stories of bad bosses, terrible management, and of course having to force PRPs down people's throats. Quite frankly I hardly shop at GS anymore. I stick to the local mom and pop stores

Yeah, you could very well be right. It might be another wacky Texas law here, or the guy might have just told me that cuz he didn't want me working there.

They almost hired me at 16, so they probably didn't want you there. That sucks; people can be assholes. Also, yay for being drunk. woooo

That's not how it works? I mean there are bad customers, but doesn't the above happen as well?

Anyway my local GS is full of these nerd guys, awesome, I want a job there.

Well in the past they did have a sweet 25% off games, and if you had their edge card you could get an extra 10% off. You also were able to get consoles on discount. That and I bet they have the silly notion that if you work at gamestop you'll be in heaven by working around what you love. If you have any respect for video games and want to continue enjoying them. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DO IT UNCLE PHIL!

Now you only get a 15% off discount and I'm almost certain you can't use the Edge card.
At all Texas Gamestops you have to be 18 because you would be selling M rated games. And trust me I asked alot of them.
you were told wrong, my friend is 17 and he is working at gamestop.

I was hired by Gamestop when I was 16. You don't want to work there. Trust me. You will never think of video games the same way again. I've been ruined.
