How to fix a lightgun for my 3DO?

I took my 3DO out of storage and fired it up. Everything worked fine but I can't get my American Laser Games light gun (the orange one) to calibrate. :cry: I'm bummed because I love playing those games like Mad Dog McCree. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I do have an HDTV but I hooked up the 3DO to an old CRT set.
 
The only way we could really help you here would be for you to identify what the problem is. Will the cursor only move in limited areas? Is the cursor not where you're pointing the gun? Does the trigger work? For now the best advice I can give is try to get all the dust out of the controller.
