How to gift an XBLA game

I'd like to give an Xbox Live Arcade game to a friend and I was wondering, is there a way to just give a game directly through Xbox live?

Not that i know of, you can go buy a code from gamestop and then email it to him....

Yea buying retails codes is about the only way to do it. It sucks that is the only way sadly. You used to be able to buy a lot of different game codes off Amazon and they would email to you instantly, but they stopped doing that for some reasons.

As much as MS wants to get our money at every turn, it is ing asinine that there is no gifting option on XBL.
