How to tell if your game has been resealed?

just compare it to a sealed copy for the same system. Should be pretty easy to tell. Xbox 360 just look for the security sticker on the side

Xbox is pretty easy since they have those security stickers. You should also look at how the shrinkwrap is neatly folded on the edges. One time Gamestop sold me a game they shrinkwrapped themselves where there were no folds -- it was just one big shrinkwrap that was closed with heat at one end (like how grocery stores do it).

Just keep in mind that not all games use the Y-fold type seal. I've seen plenty of sealed games in retail stores that use the cheaper shrinkwrap (not the Y-fold sealing).

Look at the clear plastic on the bottom. If it is loose, torn or not glued properly that should be a dead give away. The security stickers can be easily pulled back and resealed to look like new. The clear plastic wrap is the hardest part to open and seal like new.

Not all 360 Games have that seal, but MOST do.

I've seen two different versions on the shelf have different shrink-wrap, but enough of each so I knew it wasn't a re-seal. (This is especially common with DS games.)

Not all games are sealed the same way, as they come from different distributors, factories, companies etc.

For example, I have three copies of Lost Odyssey that I know are legit sealed because I bought them on clearance at 3 different places, they all look like they were sealed with saran wrap and a blow dryer, and no security strip.

That's how all the copies of that game look to me as well. Never seen a Y-sealed Lost Odyssey.
