Cool, is it tough to do?
Not really, but considering I had to walk down to the end of my street when its pitch black and mosquitos are attacking me to "borrow" someones wifi for a minute, yeah, its a bit difficult.
This may be a retarded question, but how do you type? Is there an onscreen keyboard?
Its similar to typing a text message on a cell phone.

If you were closer to a wifi would you be able to load a page as quick as you would normally on a wifi computer? I know that a computer is a lot faster than the psp but, like, internet connection wise.. Also, are there any keyboards out for PSP use?

This is a much more retarded question than above but, how did you do that?

The rendering times are supposed to be pretty painful but the Wipeout browser isn't intended to do very much. The software bundled in the Korean release will hopefully be more effective.

Wipeout Pure's web browser is god damn slow because it loads everything into RAM. As far as I know it doesn't use a cache on the memory card, which it should so everything is faster. Hopefully the rumored web browser will be a little more like a fully functional PC browser and not the slow hackjob in Wipeout.

remember the Wipeout browser is only supposed to load the Wipeout download page so there's only so much they expected to show on screen within a given amount of time which probably acounts for the lack of casheing and the speed.

I've visited CAG on my xbox before....but i'm gonna wait for an official browser for the psp.
i can't wait to access CAG from my PSP while in EB to take advantage of the deals posted. That will be a good day.
Click Click...Boo Ya (www.homestarrunner.com)

Great Idea and i just did it earlier tonight, my eb had a psp set up with wipeout pure, and a panera bread with wifi next door.

Luckily i had the dns number memorized :-d

Wipeout finally arrived and I had to test the browser out (like everyone else). OMG... I have to agree that this thing is S...L...O...W...... I can't see how anyone would really use this. It's more of a novelty I guess - here's to a dedicated browser coming out soon!!
Now if only Sony would give us a real browser.
Let's hope when Sony finally does offer a decent browser, it doesn't go trying to tack on more costs for early PSP adopters. The puny-sized proprietary memory stick that Sony bundles now could prove to be the PSP's undoing, at least when it comes to efficiently handling it's non-gaming functions, including a browser:

depends on how reliant it is on the Memstick, chances are it would rely more on the systems onboard memory for things like casheing while online and chances are if you're WiFi-ing it you have a decent connection that wouldn't force you to need to cashe info, (I figure I probably wouldn't have to bother if I had broadband..) saving bookmarks (amd maybe the random jpg file) would probably be the stick's biggest function.

As for extra fees supposedly they're going to offer an ISP deal when they release the browser in Korea, they might attempt the same thing here if they release it but I doubt it'd be a requirement to beable to use the browser.
