I recently saw a video of a band that a student of mine was playing on the computers at school. The band was fronted by a tall skinny guy on guitar, a woman on bass, and a drummer who was a black guy with some huge "guns" and a giant drum. They sounded like a mix of Wolfmother, Jet, and other 70's retro bands. The woman was singing back-up vocals. I believe their album is coming out in a few months. My student could not remember the name but said he found the band while checking out IGN last January. The songs stuck in my head, but yesterday when I checked the history in Safari (mac web browser) the history had been cleared. I'm not sure why the student can't remember the name as it was only last week that we saw the video, but he is a bit flaky (or he is simply joking around and I will proceed to fail his monkey butt this semester...just kidding?)
