I don't like posts that make me uncomfortable, so we should just delete them?

About that luge thread posted in the Off-topic forum yesterday - was there a reason it was deleted? Did something else happen in that thread other than a few people complaining that the post should be deleted?

If not, then it just seems silly that certain mods can go around acting as the moral barometer for all things posted. If it didn't break any rules and no one was trolling, why are we being do delete happy?

Why was it deleted? Probably because the OP put "Luge Death Snuff film" or something to that extent and then made some dumb post about it that was just unecessary. The motorcross one wasn't deleted because it just stated the story and the OP made an intelligent follow up post. It wasn't trying to be controversial.
