I got a free game at Circuit City today!!

I was out in Muskegon, MI today, and decided to stop by the Circuit City there. I saw they had Fear Effect: Retro Helix all new and shiny just waiting for me, marked $19.99. Since I knew all their PS1 games were half off, there was no doubt I was gonna pick it up. But when I got to the check-out, it scanned as a penny. The receipt even says the game name andd everything, so it's in the system as a penny. Now, I had been planning on putting it on my debit card, since I rarely carry cash. But when it came up a penny, I mentioned how sad it was that I didn't even have that on me. The kind girl then gave me a penny out of her pocket. So I walked out of Circuit City with a game I've been holding off on for a few years, for free!

Hey I didnt know they had a Circuit City in Muskegon. I used to live in Ludington a few years ago and boy has that area changed since I've last been there.

Jesus...has anyone else seen it for this price? Or is this YMMV? If it really is a penny, then I'll be at CC first thing in the morning... I liked the first Fear Effect a lot...too bad the third one got axed. It looked great.

I was really surprised to find it there. I loved the first one, but had a hard time finding the game at a decent price. Now that I got it for free, I'm glad I waited! And yes, it is a shame there will be no part three.

This is what I hate about CAG . . . reading about the ultimate YMMV.

One could drive for days and check 100 CCs and not find this deal, but because one person found it . . . we all get excited.

BTW, good for you. It's one thing to learn about a deal here and go find it . . . quite another to be surprised by one when not expecting it.
