Not that anyone cares, but I finally scored Ikaruga, for $18 USED, but with no book! Boo... Anyone have the heads up on where I can get a manual? It's not a deal breaker, as I wanted this game for a long time, but couldn't find it. It puts other shooters to same, namely Castle Shikigami 2. It's hard as heck though.

In an related note, I got Silent Hill 3 playstation 2 for $5 bucks MINT.

In an unrelated note, check my tradelist, as I'm really looking to pull the trigger on a trade or deal for something, almost anything.

$18 used, especially without a manual, is a bit steep.. Gamestop.com has it for $17.99.. good find on SH3, though, I think I paid full price for that one.
 
Gamestop.com has it for $17.99 - Nooooooooo! I could have used the 25% off code, and saved like ummm, some bucks(read: I am much to lazy to do the math).

I paid $29.99 for SH3 a while back and sold it. But, for five bucks, and with a soundtrack CD, how can you pass it up? It was actually NEW at Samgoody, but it was a display copy...
 
At least it's a good game for the price. You could have paid this for Catwoman.

I couldn't stop playing it for a while. I think I need to play it again, but I'm afraid I'll die on the first level. Ok, maybe not the first (it's easy), but probably the second.

I have never played it before, but if it makes you happy - that's awesome.

On a related note, the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack kinda blows.

you got a good deal. That game is a little difficult to come by. if you order it from gamestop, you'll probably get it without the case or instructions and they'll put it in a normal sized CD sleeve, which the game will have fallen out of during shipping. not worth it at all.

since this thread is kinda about silent hill 3, i just got a copy too and want to trade it in to EB... has anyone traded in this game without the soundtrack? I'm curious if they give full trade in price without it.
 
Good question about the soundtrack that I'd like to see answered by someone who knows.

I may not even hunt down a manual for Ikaruga, but anyone know if I'm missing out on any vital info that's in the book? Such, as special techniques or button press combos?

I think Silent Hill 3 was the better of the deal, because of the price. Ikaruga can be found NEW for 19.99 - 29.99 or used to anyway. Just glad to get it, because I'm not always a big fan of buying things online.

As for negative posts, I don't even blink an eye. I just ignore. I've seen some people take advantage of some great deals on Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, the $5 CC games, DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, etc. But, I have all love for them. If you are fortunate to get in on a deal, even if means before I get the chance, great. There are other deals to go around.
 
Even though I like this game (probably only because shmup is my favorite genre), the bullet absorbing just never sat well with me. Give me a straight shooter anyday, such as Gradius V or Raiden Fighters Jet. I really wish I could comment on how it stacks up against Castle Shikigami 2, gmzone. *Wink, wink* :p
