Got my neo geo pocket color today, is it just me, or could this system have gone farther than the Gba? To me, its much more comfortable and I like the menu in the begining. If only it had a bigger name behind it from the start...

Wasn't it's chief competion when it came out the GBcolor? it technically could have beat the pants off of it but name recognition is key.

It was too expensive when it first came out and it could have used a couple extra buttons. The system had way too many fighting games and they all played the same. I only use it to play SNK vs. Capcom (cards) and Metal Slug, but those two games really are enough reason to own the system.

ON a side note, if any one has metal slug or good fighting games pm me , i want them

That's where I got my NGPC games, too, though it was through Amazon. They actually came before the system did, so I had to wait to play them awesome games.

I remember when my friend had this, I was just thinking that it was the best handheld ever. The only GBC games I really liked were the Legend of Zelda ones, but that thing was the best. Of course, GBA would have killed it, but the NGPC simply didn't have the support in the media it needed...

It didn't help that the Wonderswan came out around the same time as well. I wish they would have brought over Ogre Battle to the states, it's supposedly a good one.

Yes, the Neo Geo Pocket Color is a great system, but too bad it had an early death. I'm still looking for one at EB Games because the system with the 6-pack game bundle is $39.99. Even if I find it, I'm a little hesitant to pick it up because I have too many games to play right now, but I'll be sure to get it sometime in the future, if I have the money.

Hey Mafia, I followed your link so I can pick up the NEO Geo and some of your personal stuff is up there (what you purchased, address, etc) Maybe that is not a big deal to you b/ i thought I wld let you know. I am about to log out and start my own account so I can order the system and six pack as well.
