I just got an offer. Need some advice on things to look for

for a Gamecube, controllers, memory card, Pikmin, SKies of Arcadia Legends, Super smash brothers melee, LOZ Wind Waker and Time Splitters 2 for $80. I'm thinking of jumping on it. HOWEVER, I ask you guys (you knowledgeable CAGers) what types of things I should inquire about in terms of things to look out for?

Make sure the system doesn't have DREs and that none of the controller buttons stick. Also see how big the memory card is since nintendo released multiple sizes.

Awesome deal, just the games alone could run you over $80.

A no brainer, but just double check the condition of the system. I haven't had a dre with my cube, personally, but I have had the buttons on the cube stick on me several times. Mainly the open button.

Check the condition of the system, controllers, and games. Overall sounds like a solid deal. I'd jump on it.

Sounds like a deal, even if you didn't ask any questions....anyhow, if you cared, you could ask if any of them were Player's Choice titles. Some of us care, and he might knock of a few dollars if they were....I hate that yellow stripe the most (over the Platinum Hits and red stripe).

251 is a decent sized Memory Card to start with. You will probably eventually find yourself purchasing a 1019 card.

Also if Graphics and Progressive Scan are important to you, check the back of the GameCube for the "Digital A/V Out." The Digital A/V Out lets you use Nintendo's Component Cables.

Am I unable to use the Component cables with later GC Models?

251 is perfectly adequate. I have the 1019 and it's totally overkill.
