I must make a public apology to Wombat.

I've been listening to the CAGcast ever since the first episode. I've listened to every episode all the way through and enjoyed nearly every one of them. Up until now, I thought Wombat's part in the podcast was next to insignificant, merely being a sounding board for Cheapy's thoughts and provider of an everyman opinion. He didn't seem to prepare any topics for discussion or provide any discussion that was terribly insightful or original. Sure he did all the behind-the-scenes production, but to me, he was always just either quirky comic relief or a straight man for Cheapy's jokes.

But this episode, it hit me. Wombat has really stepped up in his role.

Looking back, I think it was about the time he started Wombat's Burrow. It was the first time I could point to something and say, "Wombat did this all on his own, and it's good." When people accused him of mooching, he was trying to network with game industry professionals and get a foot in that world. As a result, he's managed to secure reports from some exclusive press events and gather some free games and swag to give away on the show.

I hope Wombat isn't offended by this. Sorry.

Glad you finally realized how much ass Wombat kicks. He's the heart and soul of the CAGcast and my vote for CAG People's Champ. Plus he's actually a really decent guy.
