I sorta like Audio-Technica headphones, I have the MTH-MX20's but they hurt my ears after a while of use. I also tried something in the 50-100 dollar range that had noise-cancelling, and it sounded amazing. They just weren't that comfy either IIRC (and I don't own them anymore)

That said I have no brand loyalty to them whatsoever. What headphones would you guys care to recommend? Any over the ear ones you like? I have to always put my hoodie on to wear my current ones lol it sucks.

Oh yeah, and budget-wise I suppose nothing over 250 if that helps. I could increase my budget later to around 350-ish but for now that's what I'm working with.

Edit: Sorry, just now realized I more than likely posted in the wrong section of the forums. Maybe it needs to go into the PC gaming section? Sorry about that.

Check out the Sony WH1000XM4. They are on sale for $280 at Best Buy and Amazon currently. I know it's a little bit higher than your stated budget. But for sound quality, comfort and quality noise cancelling, you won't find anything that even comes close for that price point.

These are one of the highest rated headphones that you can buy. Unless you really want the best, and then you would want to go with the new WHl000XM5, which have even better noise cancelling than the XM4s, but run $350 on sale. But the XM4 was the best noise cancelling in headphones you could get, until the newer model came out.

I've got about 4500 hours of use out of mine so far and they are still going strong.  I literally wear these for, sometimes 10 to 12 hour periods without taking them off. So I absolutely vouch for the comfort. I have a large head, and have a hard time with finding comfortable head anything normally.

Thanks for the detailed response, I decided to go with the Sony WH1000XM4. They look comfy enough and I'm sure the noise cancelling will be even better than what I've tried before.

Quick update: I bought them off Amazon for the same price that day and it arrived this morning. They're pretty soft & comfortable, and the noise cancellation is on a whole different level than what I was used to. Thanks again for recommending these!
