Simply amazing. Game of show by far.

Here's my report if you want to read it. The last paragraph is all you really need:

Halo 2 is the complete package, believe the hype. If I could, I would have stayed in that comfortable chair and played Halo 2 for the entire E3 show. It seems sometimes that the expectations for Halo 2 are so high that they would be impossible to meet. For me, I was completely enthralled with the experience and couldn't have enough. Oh boy, what a game. It would take a tremendous belly flop, a meltdown of apocalyptic proportions, for Halo 2 not to be one of the best games in this generation. Mark November 9th on your calendar, that's the date when your world will be rocked.

Everything i have seen so far has not made me want this game. The new Half Life 2 trailer, however, had me drooling.

But this IS coming from someone who hated Halo 1. Maybe it will be good.
 
I like the original Halo but the second one has not interested me at all. I will wait until it goes for cheap before picking it up.

Now Metal Gear Solid 3, 15 minutes of footage means I will be buying a PS2 really really soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Are you insane?? You must not really like Halo or FPS.. Halo 2 is going to set the bar regarding FPS on consoles. I'll admit that the hype is almost unbearable and that is a turn-off to many. But you won't be able to ignore this game once it comes.. everyone will be playing it (Xbox Live play!). Personally, I'm a bit tired of original Halo. But no other game has really taken the title from Halo as the best Xbox multiplayer game (In my opinion obviously).

And Half Life 2 will be amazing as well, not to be outdone.

if that was just a demo he played / he was lying, and this game blows as much as a devil may cry 2, i'l just laugh my ass off in the corner playing my PS2 and GC.
not to say that it's gonna, but people have so many high expectations for it.

and mr. anderson showed me a half life 2 trailer and it was so fuckin confusing i was just sitting there not knowing what the hell happened. he said there was supposed to be more after it. some dude (like you) was walking around and talking to people. then all of a sudden he walked through some door and a meltdown happened and some skeleton guy ushered him into a bloody cell and it faded... END COMMERCIAL.
what the hell is so great about that and why is everyone so damned excited about it. maybe i just dno't get it. is it some inside joke or thing that you need to play half life 1 in order to understand. thanks.

99% of the people that own an Xbox think that Halo 2 is going to be awesome. So her statements in general are an attack on the Xbox and its' fans.

I am not by any means a fan boy, but how could you hate Halo? I hated the flood (what an annoying enemy), but the game was amazing.

First of all wheres your source of this 99% ratio, I would believe it would be less, considering a good portion, more than 1% of xbox players in general hate console fps's.

Everyone that played Halo thought it was the rulest game ever... Very far from fact
As a matter of fact I believe halo got devistated by Starcraft in the "best game ever contest" so therefore Starcraft 2 would own Halo 2.

My point of all this:
Don't Critizied people for making generalizations and then go and make your own generalization. If you played halo 2... good for you, you have your own opinion as she has hers.

And now im just going to wait for someone to tear apart my utter lack of spelling skills.
 
Halo was fun, but Half-life did something for me which no other fps has yet to over come (even if HL didnt give me change for $100...)

Halo 2 looks good IMO just for the multi. I dont have any gaming buddies, so Live is my hub,a dn this looks great. If anything, better than the XIII im playing now...

Get a life! I've got an Xbox and I will grab Halo 2 the day it comes out but just because someone else isn't excited about it - who cares? Chill out. Buy the game, play it, love it. No reason to attack anyone else though.

I NEVER liked the game. I always thought it was an overhyped piece of garbage.

I guess I'm one of those "1%". Halo 2 does absolutely nothing for me. I probably won't pick it up until it is 20 bucks on PC.

every fps is ment to be played with a keyboard and mouse. it makes aiming and switching weapons and moving so much easier. what are the specs on your pc? i bet u can run hl1
 
I got Mario Teaches typing downstairs somewhere.

Anyways the PC controls are much more fluid as opposed to a console. You can strafe quicker and shooting things is much more accurate.

Halo PC controls so much better than the Xbox version (an example)

Not to get off topic but Oregon Trail was the mad note, hunting and crossing the river. Brings back some memories.
 
wow guys, thanks for sticking up for me. I feel kind of loved and special. Well anyways i think he's gone. And i'm not saying that i hate xbox, but i too think that halo is overrated so it's not gonna be imo "t3h shizzle f0 sho gona revolut1oniz3 gaming and OMG 99% of people think halo is gonna be t3h b0mb digg3ty dawg"

but the point is that if halo 2 bombs i'll just laugh my ass off because all the xbox fanboys are all like "halo 2 is gonna pwn or own over everything else bitches!" and it gets pretty goddamn annoying after awhile. but thanks punqsux.

i have no idea what the specs of my computer are. its black and i play free cell on it.
i dont think the controls would bother me though since i have never played a fps on a pc.
i loved oregon trail and mario teaches typing. if yours is the one im thinking of you ran across a 2d mario-esque board progressing by typing on screen letters. i remember i always got killed by the thwomp stage. i used to type with one finger. ive upgraded to a whole hand nowadays though!
 
I have all 3 next gen systems and didn't like Halo. But why always bring up the word Fanboys. The fact that someone is bashing other "Fanboys" makes them a Fanboy in itself. Every system will have an exclusive game that others will knock. Give it a rest and enjoy the games that you like. Then again, hyping any game this much can get a little irritating.
I don't remember this happening with GTA: Vice City. Why?
 
Mario teaches typing would not even run on my old PC and had to be played on my sister's laptop. Bitch would never even let me play the game

Why didn't it happen with VC? Because that games pretty goddamn mature, with sex, violence, and even drugs if you include the pill you can use. Halo is shooting aliens - so probably tons of kids own it because they're parents cave in because they beg for it so much its unbelievable. so you have little 9 year olds talking letter to number speech acting like halo 2 is gonna pwn f3r shizzle. and i'm pretty goddamn sure that halo 2 will be great compared to halo one, but if the miniscule chance that it doesn't own (like dmc 2) happens im just saying, i'll be here, playing my ps2 and gc laughing. that's all.

Vice City was a good game and well worth the 10 dollars I paid for it. I despise GTA III though. that game is the biggest piece of garbage ever. All it was, was GTA in fucking 3D. At least Vice City had motorcycles (without them the game would not be as good)

I have the same opinion about any game that gets hyped so much.
 
It wasn't for anyone in particular. It's for whoever wants to put down someone else for liking something that they don't. If you don't like it then move on. No need to flame someone else.

My personal statistic. I'm 100% sure that I don't care if someone else doesn't like what I like.
 
At first I hated the first Halo, but then it grew on me (that and I stopped hating the xbox). Overated single player and underated multiplayer (Halo MP>>> Goldeneye).

I couldn't be more phyched for Halo 2. All the additions, the graphics, the huge levels and Live support!! For FPS fans it gets no better, period!

What do you mean, "Be like the Penguin"? I was dead serious when i said I loathe the game. I think it was greatly overhyped, and among the worst and most cliched FPS games I have ever played. But, that's just my opinion.
 
You see, what happens is that fanboys hype the game so much that decent folk get irritated by the hype and this irritation gets applied to the game as well which eventually turns into hatred.

Just reading the first post of this thread makes me want to nuke M$ in hopes of them never making another halo game just so I won't have to listen to anymore immature, ridiculous hype.
 
What I like, from the pictures I have seen they have changed some things. I hated how you couldn't pick up that sword from one of those elites but it looks like you can now :)

also the life looked like it has changed from the picutres, has it? or does it just look different?
 
How can anyone not like Halo. I'm no fan boy I have my share of complaints about XBOX. But Halo is one of the most beutiful and deepest games I've ever played. And this doesn't even include MP!
 
Yeah, Halo 2 interests me way more than MGS 3 or HL 2.

MGS just felt blah since SOL. I mean, let's face it, it was the SAME game, more or less.

Half-Life 2 will be good, but I don't think it will be as "fun" as halo 2.
 
I tracked Halo 1 from when it was first announced for the PC, through its evolution from a multiplayer focused (yes multiplayer) game to a single player game, to Microsoft's purchase of Bungie, to when it was announced as an XBox game.

Basically this game had me drooling and then crying when MS scrapped the PC version so they had a Killer App. I finally picked up an xbox and bought my Halo about 8 months ago and I must say Halo 1 is right down there with Shaq-Fu on my game list. The controls are horrible, the story bored me, the enemies are uninspired, the weapons are generic.

Ahem, the point of my post...Gimme the original half life (on the pc) before Halo 2 any day. Halo 2 will not be on my list of games to buy in this century although half life 2 and a new computer will be

Commence flaming
 
This will be the only game i preorder all year. I may wait a year before i buy into half life 2 and Doom 3, just so my system can run them at top speed.
