Let me say first off that I went in expecting an ineptly made, aggressively stupid film, and it delivered big time. Let the press conference commence.

(pointing): You there, in the red spandex. What's your question?

are you going to kill yourself after seeing this craptastic movie?

i imagine that blowing your brains out would be the only way to erase this movie from your memory.
did those wasted $8 leave a gaping hole in your soul?
It was actually $6.50. And no, its suckitude was transferred to this other guy's soul that I'm leasing.
was the "group" of people realy "alone"?
Yes. In an area devoid of light, no less.
I have a question, why?
Because:
A) I've seen everything else that's out (that's worth seeing)
B) I have no girlfriend, and
C) I feel this movie deserves my cash this weekend more than Hide and Seek, whose director is a complete hack (I am aware that Uwe Boll is pretty much the same thing, but at least his films are entertaining in their own ways).
are you going to kill yourself after seeing this craptastic movie?
No. I want to live long enough to at least see Bloodrayne.
are you going to kill yourself after seeing this craptastic movie?
Damn it man! No need for that! It wasn't a D&D movie. It won't inspire people to sacrifice to Satan, damn it!.

To OP:

Was it in Evil Dead territory, or just bad? (Evil Dead territory being so bad it cycles back to good.)

first, i love satan and hes like my best friend forever. second, evil dead was a fucking classic movie.

Actually, the reason Evil Dead is an irrefutably good film is because while it does have highly ridiculus moments, it is still solid in terms of technical directing. To answer your question, no, AitD isn't quite in the so-bad-it's-good category with films like Plan 9 and Showgirls. It's bad, and because of that it provides much entertainment.
Just how bad is this movie?
It is slighly more bearable than House of the Dead, probably due to the bigger production values. It is worse than Resident Evil: Apocalypse, but it is more entertaining, however. If it were on MST3K, it would provide a very good episode (but then again, what movie wouldn't?).
my friends brother is the manager of the theater so i saw it for free and it wasn't worth that
That's not a question. Please direct yourself towards the exit, and come back when you decide to wear pants.

I spent an hour on rottentomatoes reading the reviews for (1% fresh rating!)..Looks like it is still wasting precious minutes of my life :whistle2:( HOPEFULLY I never see it.

Ok I got some questions:

Who was the worst actor in the movie between the 3: Christian Slater, Tara Reid, or Stephen Dorff?

Was the special effects decent or crap?

Did the violence look at least believable or crap as well?

Did Tara Reid have her boob job in the movie?

1. Tara Reid was by far the worst. Slater was acting like a goofy, generic badass parody of himself, and Stephen Dorff's performance could have actually been saved for a stylish B-movie like Assault on Precinct 13. Reid's performance was lifeless, sounding like she was just there to read lines while everyone waited for the REAL actress to arrive and play her part.

2. The special effects (CGI and practical) were quite decent. Most of the creature shots were darklit, which does limit its badness.

3. It depends on what you will believe. The opening fight/chase between Slater and Generic Man was hilariously overplayed, with silly moves and unnecessary camera tricks left and right (though, props to Boll for giving us a kneecapping shot). Most movie violence isn't believable to those who study the real thing, but in AitD there are a few moments where you will be saying, "That wouldn't really happen."

4. Difficult to tell. She was at her barest with a full bra on, and that scene wasn't very well lit. I'd guess no.

Hilarious thread dude.

Does it have anything that can compare with that scene in HOTD, you know, the big battle in front of the house with the MATRIX and TURN TABLE effects, over 100 blood effects and 11000 cuts in 13 minutes will be film history in a few years because in NO OTHER FILM EVER was a similar scene. Also Rodrigez or Tarantino ever made a scene like this escalating action scene in HOD.

There were a couple of big action scenes with fancy camera tricks, though this time around Boll opted not to use bullet time.
how tarable was it?
By your misspelling of the word "terrible" I'm making the leap that you're asking how bad the film was in relation to Tara Reid's other works. In that case, My Boss' Daughter and Josie and the Pussycats were worse, though Josie was more competently directed.
Is Alone in the Dark, worth a rental, once it's released on DVD?
Sure. It'll be, a whole new experience, with Uwe, Boll's, commentary track. ,
Can someone named Uwe Boll make a decent movie?
We've yet to find out, but we do know that someone named serro821 can write a sentence correctly.
Do you make loads of money by shoving your fist up a duck's bottom?
Of course. It's excellent soft pron.
Compared to House of a 1000 Corpses, which one sucked horribly more?
Tough to say. House of 1000 Corpses was boring. At least this movie provided me with smiles.

Ok...Here are a few questions

1. Are you an affectionado of really bad movies or are you a sadist?

2. Did they play the Godsmack song over and over again in the movie?

3. Did people unintentionally laugh at all in the movie or were there more groans?

4. How crowded was the movie theater?

I'm sure I will think of more questions. By the way, good thread! Very informative.

1. A little bit of both, though leaning more towards the former. I am an aficionado of all movies (though I do have my tastes).

2. I couldn't tell which song was which. Butt rock sounds all the same to me.

3. I was not close enough to hear anyone else.

4. From the above answer you can imagine how crowded it was. At its pinnacle the attendance was upwards of fourteen individuals. By the time the movie was over that figure had petered out to about six. The theater could have comfortably seated four hundred.

Here is a few more questions

1. Did you take a date to see AITD??

2. If the answer to the above question is no, would you consider taking a date to see AITD?

3. Do you know the old popcorn trick where you cut a hole in the bottom and let your girlfriend reach in and find a surprise? (I love that gag! Heh heh heh heh)

1. No. I'm lucky if I can get a female to spend more than two minutes staring in my general direction.

2. Yeah, I would consider it, but only if she were either a date who shared my appreciation of cinema, or someone whom I wanted to never speak to me again.

3. Yeah, man. You wouldn't believe how many times that's worked!
Is there a God and if so why does he allow Uwe Boll to live?
There might be, but who are any of us to say for sure? And Uwe Boll lives only because he's very well protected.
