I bought this psp go on Ebay the other day: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_922

I received it today and it is in perfect condition physically, but I've tried a couple of different USB chargers without success. The thing is DOA. I have a PSP Go charger on its way and if that doesn't work, I was just wondering if I can file for a refund on this item.

The auction states "no refunds or exchanges", but it also says it works and just needs a charger. Will I have a case of "significantly not as described" if the psp go charger doesn't work with it either?

It doesn't matter if it says no return, as eBay seems to side with the buyer a lot on these cases nowadays.

But the seller seems like a solid seller, so hopefully the cable that comes will work.

Otherwise, if it's DOA, it's still the seller's responsibility in the eyes of eBay, and worst comes to worst, they will refund you the money, and not deduct from the seller either, and just take the hit from it.

If he said it works and it doesnt and you paid with paypal then youre good. First, make SURE it doesnt work at all. Second, send him an email explaining it doesnt work even though his ad stated it did. Third, if hes cool he'll offer a refund, if not then you need to file a claim with paypal. Simple as that.

At this point it's probably best just to wait for the charger, since the description does say weak charge, so the battery probably ran completely down by the time it got to you.

Thanks for the peace of mind guys....I just wanted to make sure I'd have a case and wouldn't be out the $100 if it was bricked.

I'd still send the buyer a message stating that despite your current efforts, you've been unable to get the PSP running. Otherwise the buyer could say, "It arrived on X as shown by the tracking #. If it were DoA, why did the buyer just now mention it?"

Course that'll get him no where and eBay will most likely give you a refund even if he doesn't. But it's good to cover all bases and at least open a line of communication with him or her.

Sent this earlier today:

"Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I received the PSP GO today. It is in fantastic shape. It must have lost its weak charge in transit as it is completely dead now. I have a charger on its way to me, so I will leave feedback as soon as I can confirm that it can charge and is not bricked. Thanks...."

Definitely trying to cover my bases...

I liked the "not Bricked" part of your message.
If it doesnt take a charge wonder if the battery is shot.
U should not have to buy a battery after paying 100 neway.
Just saying

As you've probably figured out, if the battery is completely dead, it wont charge over USB. If you get a working wall charger, you should be good.

I was counting on the "weak charge" as I hoped I'd be able to set up the charge through USB with just a peak at a powered up PSP GO. Being that it was DOA....My only hope is the wall charger now:cry:

Well, I couldn't wait for the charger to come in the mail, so I went out to GS today and used some credit to pick up a charger. I can breathe easy now as it charged with no problem. Thanks for the responses fellas. This thing is sexy as hell. I'm really digging it so far......
