So I bought a dvd a while back over the summer. It was the latest live action GI joe movie. There is no issue with the movie itself. The problem is that the digital copy that was supposed to be come with the movie is not working. I see no expiration date and the digital copy disc works. I can't redeem it because the code is no where to be found. I never messed with it when I got the thing since I didn't have any use for it.

I got a new phone and wanted to put some movies on it. Thought I finally had a use for the digital copy. I wonder if there would be any way to contact someone about maybe getting the code that I paid for anyway and who would ya contact about this? I bought it from fye and called them, they said it was past the return policy and for me to contact who ever made the movie. I could have got the blu ray for roughly the same price but it didn't have the steelbook or the digital coy.

LOL, that or the shell company M.A.R.s has something to do with it. COBRA will pay for taking my digital copy. :twoguns:

Also thanks for the info on the contacts

I just went to the page to fill out the form for a replacement digital code. It asks for the digital code to be sent in the form??? Typing n/a seems to work to get the form sent.

To clarify, you bought a brand new, factory sealed copy of the movie. Right? If so, and if it did not contain everything it should have contained, then you can return an opened movie to the store you purchased it at and they should supply you with a brand new copy of the same movie.

They won't give you a refund for opened media because they don't want to be a rental service but you can definitely get a replacement for a defective product. I've done it before. If you bought an opened item or a used item then you're shit out of luck.

It was a brand new unopened sealed movie. Unless someone at that store has a shrinkwrap machine to match the way it looks like from the factory? (i've heard stories about some people doing that in the past from various companies) I did ask for a replacement and I was told they didn't have any more of those and won't get anymore in. I could however get the plain ol regular dvd copy. It has no steelbook and no digital copy.

Is this Best Buy? If so, call their customer service number and complain. They'll probably give you reward zone bux in compensation. If they don't, call back over and over until they get tired of you calling. It will work. Probably the first time.

Was it one of those movies where the code is on a sticker that's on the shrink wrap? Sometimes the code isn't always inside the movie, and I've almost thrown away the shrink wrap with the code sticker on it.
